The Farmyard Holiday park is located 5minutes from geraldine, on 40acres of land it is the ultimate farm stay adventure for the whole family.We have tent sites,powered sites ,standard cabins and also fully selfcontained units and family cottages. We have donkey rides,motorbike rides,swimming pool,tennis court,mini golf ,and a marshmellow pit you can light and gather around at night .we also have BMX track ,so kids bring your bikes!Lamb feeding in spring,and also a large variety of animals the kids can feed and cuddle.

Loved this camp and all the animals. The owners and staff are really friendly and helpful. Showers at no cost and no timer which is fantastic. I will definitely return. I even took a dip in the swimming pool. Families would have lots of fun here with so much for the children to do and enjoy. Being a little out of town it is extremely relaxing. Thanks everyone for a great stay.
We have stayed twice now and the kids love being able to interact with the animals especially the guinea pigs. Fire truck ride was a hit and the little shop is great for the hot days to get iceblocks from. The owners are very helpful and accommodating and can be seen putting in the actual hard work like cleaning the bathrooms etc and not just the admin side of the park. Park rules of children to be back with parents at 9pm and quietness by 10pm is fantastic. I loved the water buffalo, being able to pat the gentle Giants was the highlight for me. We will be back again!
We had the best time at the Farmyard, seeing and feeding the animals. Camping, experiencing the marshmallow pit and seeing our kids have fun from sunrise to sunset in the playground. I would like to suggest a shade sail over the sandpit and one maybe over the swings for some more shade on those super hot and sunny days. Overall it was a blast!! Thank you to all the employees for keeping it clean and friendly.
Great place has everything you need, the kitchen is great, good showers the pressure was amazing, toilets and of course the animals make it amazing. The Guinea pigs are a favourite along with the donkeys, water buffalo’s, llama’s, Alpaca, little horses. Sam the horse, can’t forget Polly the cockatoo but my favourite were the highland cows so stunning. The people that work/help out are great they were always busy making sure the place was well looked after. Early morning rubbish runs, mowing lawns, cleaning EVERYTHING and it was nice to see the owners involved. Make sure you check out what locations are available site wise before taking the first one, I wish we had done this. We were right opposite the kitchen, lounge and shower facility’s so of course it was so busy and being in a tent there is no noise reduction. That’s our own fault for picking that spot but we went for a walk around and know which ones we will go for next time!!! I’d say if you have kids under 10 book in now, they will love it - make sure you take the bikes for them to get around on oh and dogs are allowed yay!
This is a really amazing place to take your kids! There's lots of animals to see and pet. There is also playground toys for kids to play with. You can stay overnight or just visit for an afternoon. We loved it
This review is just for the animal farm and attractions for the kids. We had so much fun here! Also if you are not staying on the park, for a small fee $5 adult. $2 children infants free you can have a great mornk5or afternoon here!
Came with my kids for the afternoon to see some animals and I couldn't get them to leave. Such an amazing place to hang out with kids we ended up booking to stay in Jan 2023. Can't wait!!!!!
I had a really good visit yesterday.. but I have to say I was horrified to see how many sheep had open wounds and serious cuts from a fresh trim.. every single sheep had wounds. They will be painful and if I'm coming to visit a farm animals I would have had a better experience knowing they are looked after
Rubbish beds in cabins. Then got told when we requested a new room the room we were going into had new beds…yeah 30 years ago…just as bad. Place was also very run down, a huge shame as place has so much going for it, was clearly once a great place but been left to run down by owners that clearly don’t care. Wouldn’t go back or recommend based on this experience.
The farm park was a fun family friendly experience for all ages. I connected with the water Buffalo and kunekune pigs in a way that I've never connected with an animal before I think the kunekune is my spirit animal . Friendly staff minus the family bulldog who didn't like me wearing a hat Inside haha . The highland cattle could be closer to the track otherwise a great experience!!
