Gorgeous art deco styled theatre - home to some great shows. Comfortable seats, clean amenities and ample room to move around.
Absolutely beautiful Theatre. I loved it, the accoustics are wonderful. Went to see Mary Poppins last Sunday, great show, huge stage. Lighting great. Good facilities, bar etc. coffee downstairs.
Staff were friendly, clean environment, seats were very comfortable, building was BEAUTIFUL!
First time to this beautiful venue, flew my daughter up to see KMH for the 4th time & she was amazing.
My husband and I attended the Damien Leith and Darren Coggin show on the 2nd May. While we enjoyed the show, our experience was less than satisfactory. I've made 2 complaints about the logistics on the night, as well as completing a survey at the Empire's request, via email. All correspondence has been ignored, so I'll try my luck here. No less than 3 staff members directed us to the incorrect auditorium, despite all 3 of them sighting our tickets. We are not locals. We were not aware that there were separate buildings for performances. We assumed the theatre name on our tickets was an auditorium room within the main empire theatre building. We didn't know there was more than 1 building. Again, all 3 staff members did not look at our tickets properly to ascertain that we were in the wrong building. By the time this fiasco was discovered we were seated in someone else's seats at the Carl Barron show, we were late for our own show. By the time we scrambled and found our way to the correct building, we missed a decent amount of the first half of the show. We also noticed other patrons entering the building after us, obviously experiencing the same confusing debacle as us. Very disappointing, avoidable and unacceptable. Please train your staff to read tickets properly.
