Whilst I'm still wondering what "The Eate" means is it Latin or Spanish or something else? I was pleasantly surprised by the food. It was delicious and with generous serves. The service was poor - hopefully with the appointment of some skilled wait staff or additional training, their service will improve. You will definitely come for the food. From amazing calamari to the divine chicken and succulent lamb. Very nice. If you are temped by the shaker fries. Don't bother.
Came here on reading the great reviews and recommendations. And they were correct. Very tasty food and coffee. The wagu burger was one of the best tasting burgers I have had. Also tried the sticky date pudding and it was very yummy. We will be back again. Definitely recommended.Recommended dishesRoast Lamb
We've driven past this place SO many times always meaning to go in and finally stopped off. We're so glad we did because it's actually 1 - a nice setting 2 - pretty sure it's a family only run business as we had kids literally like 13 year old kids serving us 3 - got GREAT food. Check out the pics and menu. There's a great selection of giros and other dishes that were looking forward to testing out. The giros /yiros was spilling out of the wrapping in a good way and had some amazing flavours to it. I got the calamari yiros - so freaking yummy. My partner got a pasta, lamb ragout, eggplant based dish which was really yummy! Prices are also not too exorbitant. Great setup! I do this thing where I finish off with the best tasting dish ordered ... It was the yiros for me this time.
Good food, service was a bit slow but good. Braised Lamb and chips, caused chips to be soggy, may be a better way to serve this delicious meal Parking: On street parking Wheelchair accessibility: Not wheelchair friendly
Amazing food! Great ambiance. Shout out to the best truffle burger ever!!! Food: 5/5
I was going to give 5stars on the beginning , lamp ribs $35 was very good cook ,nice , soft and delicious , then I ordered another lamp ribs , when second dish coming I tried one piece was very hard and over cook , a lot different with first one I have , I tried to tell staff second lamp ribs was over cook , we can’t eat , staff keep saying was same like first one I have , so I very disappointed and I have to pay the dish in the end , staff not say sorry , not fix any problems! Not go back anymore
Always a good feed at Eate. Haven't been for over 2 years though, and first time today. Portions have shrunk a bit, but the food itself is still of top quality and big taste. Recommend as A+ once a week meal for sure. Staff attentive and friendly, and super chilled vibe inside with outside tables. Parking easy at weekends.Food: 4/5
I popped there quickly during one of my pram walk with my toddler. I ordered an almond ice latte. My coffee was made quickly. The staff was really friendly. The space is spacious, with plenty of natural light. It seems like a nice place to have breakfast. We will be back!! Kid-friendliness: My pram was on the way during one of their deliveries and the staff was just so kind and nice.
Good local cafe with an original take on things. I've enjoyed the coffee here and their chunky hot chips are amazingly satisfying. Glad have this place 5min walk from home. Now let me say something about this place: the burgers are amazing!! Ok, so $20 sounds like a lot for a burger. It is, and it is soooo worth it. Get fries with that burger and you will be so happy!! Photo is of the veggie burger they sell btw
Had a Sunday night quick dinner after golf at the Eate. For entree we had fried chilli calamari rings and for the main the sizzling seafood hot dish and charcoal chicken. The seafood was fresh and tasty and the chicken was very tender and a nice sized portion. Big eatery and service polite and efficient.
