Love the new revamped Earlwood Hotel. We’ve just tried the new menu, was really good. Hubby had the chicken Caesar salad, he thought it was great.. a bit more chicken would have made it perfect! I had the 250g rump, cooked medium! Was perfect.. very happy. The only thing I would say is, although the mash and veg were great, to swap them out from chips and salad to then pay for doing so, is a bit much to be honest. Overall, very happy and will be back, after all, we are a 5 min walk from home.. Winning!!
Enter via Earlwood Avenue to avoid the pokies. New bistro is much brighter and food is solid - fish and chips + calamari were winners. Only a few cocktails on tap until their full menu is available. Unfortunately no stouts available, nor parent room / change table. Will visit again for good feed and dog friendly outdoor tables.
The pork ribs were something else - definitely worth trying! Generous serving size and very good flavours! Enough to feed 2 ppl.nOverall pretty happy with the quality of food
Food mains are very good and now they are getting over their teething issues with service it's not a bad place to come eat.nnOne of the things holding them back though is the quality of their wine by the glass, they have some nice bottles of wine, though a tad overpriced, but their red wine by the glass is definitely a miss. Dessert menu is also not a wow and could probably do a with a bit of review on how it can be improved.nnFrom a busy night perspective, Friday night and Saturday nights can be a bit busy with families but Sunday night is nice and quiet.nnWould recommend at least coming for the mains.
Had lunch today with my friend Sophie - we both had the pan seared barramundi; it’s a special dish of the chef and it was fabulous - we both very much enjoyed our lunch. The atmosphere in the pub’s bistro & bar is delightful - I could have stayed for much longer but unfortunately we had to go - will definitely be back
