Very sad to see the state the place is running like. Took the kids for a Saturday bowl the other week and almost broke my ankle on loose carpet squares needing fixing. Many times the screen does not actually read the pins correctly. Lucky our babies are only 7 and 8 and couldn't tell it was ripping them off. You soon get anoyed having to go see staff every second bowl so you end up just playing and letting the computer calculatr all over the place. This place is in desperste need of renovstuons but it seems like the owner doesn't care. Half the games have an out of order sign on them and half the ones that work should have an out of order sign aswell. Sometimes I feel like the owner knows he's ripping the public off just doesn't care as he knows there is nothing in this town for children to do for fun so parents will get sucked into coming back VERY VERY SAD WAY TO RUN YOUR BUSINESS
A little expensive. $18 per line or $25 for 2 lines. They didn't have shoes in my size and the place was almost empty. But very fun place to go.
Tried to pre pay for the family's birthday party over the phone cause I'm away in a different state and can't attend. But they won't accept credit card sales over the phone. Really disappointing.
The Dust Bowl will always be 5 stars in my heart. When I was a kid and my father got stationed at Pine Gap my mother Kelley started working there bill or bob was the owner at the time. I didn't have a lot of friends because we came from the us and I'm not exactly social. Well, the old putting course, the arcade machines and those shiny straight lanes were my friendsof course it was all free for me. From 7 to 9, this was my haven and I still have some of my best childhood memories from The Dust Bowl and Alice Springs in general.
What an absolutely dump give this a miss worst service and very rude staff won't ever return
A very clean and friendly place. Had dark disco on in the middle of the day on the weekend which was great. All machines and alleys worked well and were well maintained. We also had some chips from the food bar which were also delicious and a great serving size.
Enjoyable food and venue. Room for improvement in regards to customer service, seemed like we were being a bother if we did require customer service to the point where I felt uncomfortable approaching the workers so instead we had family members take turns to ask for assistance. Faulty arcade games could be more clearly labeled as we weren’t refunded for coins put into games that weren’t sign posted as ‘out of order’.
Great place, amazing lanes and area. Horrible customer service. We were playing a game and the lanes and board were faulty, saying we were getting strikes when we were scoring low. Finished round 8? No, it was my turn and the game shut off. After telling staff about it calmly and trying to find out what was happening my friend and I sat back down and finished the food the great thing about them was only the food after taking off the bowling shoes we walked to the counter so see if we could get a refund. After talking to the young lady at the counter was very pleasant to talk to she called her manager. He came over, we told him what had happened and then sat back down. After 3-5 minutes we got back up to talk to the counter to see what he was doing. We asked if we could get a refund and he fired back at me and my friend, slamming a sheet of paper on the bench we were leaning on showing that we ‘finished the game’. After explaining we had not bowled the last two rounds he fired back at us saying that it was all on paper. We suggested he check the CCTV cameras, he fired once again saying that we were trying to ‘screw’ him and get our money back. At this stage my friend and I decided not to argue with someone so stubborn. All considered the food was good and the area was great, but the system, the game panels and customer service has a lot left to be desired.
Pretty overpriced, paid between $80-$100 for 2 games with 2 adults and a 2 year old, was charged full price for the 2 year old, would be a regular customer otherwise.
This bowling alley has at least 10 playable lanes. During our visit they played some good old 80's songs. Only downside was that it was not possible to play without the sidebars.
