The Deck is Sunshine Beach's iconic breakfast & lunch cafe, located right in front of the beach entrance. Family owned & operated, we are committed to serving excellent coffee, fresh food made with local produce and friendly service. The Deck serves all day breakfast, lunch, brunch, coffee and fresh juices & smoothies and take away is available. BYO beer & wine, no corkage fee. Dogs are welcome too.

We had lunch of bacon and eggs, and a toasted ham cheese and tomatoes toastie. The service was outstanding. Only 3 people working there but they were like clockwork. At the counter to give my order, the cook took the time to tell me I would be served in just a minute while the other staff were busy. The eggs were poached perfect. The bacon was plenty full and again perfectly cooked. Great bacon. The toastie was just right with real melted cheese not thin plastic slices. We had coffee and we could not fault it. Highly recommend.

We dined at 12:30 on a Sunday.nThere was a table available and we were served immediately. The menu was standard breakfast and lunch fare.nThe atmosphere was laid back and dogs were welcome. Looking out over the street to the park and ocean was nice.nOur juices were very tasty and they arrived quickly.nThe food took about 20 minutes, but was hit and well cooked.nMy beautiful wife had the whiting, China’s and salad. The chips were excellent and the whiting was well cooked. The salad was appropriate for this meal.nI had a beef burger and was a little alarmed when I saw it, wondering how to eat it without it going everywhere. I cut it in half and it stayed together nicely. It was delicious.nIt was honest food and fairly priced.nI would happily return.
I ordered the pancakes and a long black. I finished the pancakes before the coffee was made. Which screams that they precooked the pancakes, and thats exactly how they tasted! I have never been so tempted to return food!! I get that they were busy, but I'd rather wait for properly cooked food than rubbery pancakes! Pretty good coffee though!
One of my favourite places for brunch! I’ve been quite a few times and it’s a fabulous place for coffee and a bite to eat. The staff are absolutely lovely and very accomodating for people with dogs bringing out little dishes of water for them on hot days and are always a pleasure to chat to. The food has always been delicious, fresh, and very well priced. Would definitely recommend the healthy choice breakfast and the banana & raisin bread!
