Food tasted incredible and the presentation was stellar! Prices were affordable as well. The pond and fountain is a great feature and the staff are all super lovely and friendly. The wait times for some of the dishes horrible. We had finished our dishes before our friend received his dish. Our dessert never came out unfortunately, so I cannot comment on the dessert.
Such a beautiful place to eat!! I found this place after googling vegan lunch in the Hunter valley. They have a separate vegetarian menu, and they were very accommodating when I wanted vegan versions of some dishes. The staff were super friendly. The venue is in front of a lake, it is a picturesque spot. The ambiance is great too, they were playing lots of 90’s tunes that day and I loved it. I saw they have bands playing/live music at the weekend too. Food and drinks were delicious!!
This place is awesome! Food is so good and customer service is exceptional. We went there for lunch and browsed through their tapas menu. The grill sourdough and baby calamari are highly recommended. The ambiance is so nice and is kid friendly and there is an area that is also pet friendly. There are chickens, pigs, mules and alpacas around the are that will keep the kids entertained. We will definitely come back here again.
My first time having a tapas meal, you really get full quickly and the food was quite nice. Service I found very average, a little dismissive honestly. There was one particular waitress who was very friendly and offered us an option to wait and see how full we were before they started making the final dish, but this was not communicated with the rest of the team. We cancelled the last dish but once again this was not communicated properly and they later charged us for the extra dish anyway also forgot a drink order. So yeah nothing too big happened but just a lot of smaller mistakes that I believe could’ve easily being avoided with better communication from floor staff.
Such a fantastic experience. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast with such a vast and original menu that we struggled on choice. The 4 of us all chose something different and every dish was amazing. Fresh produce and flavoursome. The service was polite and friendly and very helpful. The atmosphere was pure bliss. Set by a lake with a fountain spitting out a soundtrack of calm in what is also a refreshing environment. Take the opportunity to visit George and Dora the local pigs and the nearby ponies as well. The coffee was a smooth brew also which was exactly what was needed so early in the morning. I suggest you book as this place is VERY busy Dietary restrictions: GF, DF and V options available on the menu and highlighted as well
Beautiful cafe next to a little pond. The atmosphere was great, the outdoor heaters kept us nice and warm. We especially liked the zucchini flowers and duck liver parfait. The staff was super friendly and attentive. We got to walk around the estate as well and see some glam chickens and pigs.
Amazing cafe with a pretty view. The food was fresh, tasty and moreish. I requested extra chipolatas instead of bacon for my dish and they gave me so many! My boyfriend had a vegetable dish but it was so flavoursome even I liked it. Together with great coffee I had 2 large cups, and lovely service - highly recommended.
What a way to finish off our 4-day stay in the Hunter region. This place is a cosy little restaurant tucked away behind a smallish lake with a fountain in the middle . It is very beautifully designed with fantastic views of the grassland across the road to Lovedale. The sound of water is just so soothing! We had a 3-course tapas meal on the menu and finished it off with a prune and almond tart. Awesome service and super friendly staff. Hospitality at it’s best in the Hunter Valley. All in all a fabulous experience!
Really enjoyed the arancini balls! Tastes were very unique and had interesting flavours to pair with on the tongue. We unfortunately just didn't appreciate the $16 dollar salad which didn't have many leaves. Forgot to take a photo Salad consisted only of a small portion of croutons, cucumbers and tomatoes. The decor was nice though, with a peaceful outlook to a water fountain.
Expectation plays a big part in the experience that you have of a restaurant. I always envisage food with no pretense when I think of Tapas, I also think of a pretty casual and carefree affair. I also think Spanish when I think of Tapas and so you could imagine my disappointment when encountering major Asian fusion influence, rather than Spanish fare. Alas, there was enough on the menu to entice us, but I think the restaurant has no place calling itself a tapas restaurant nor tapas style. The menu recommended 4-6 dishes for a party of four and so we ordered six dishes. Had we known that there was nothing tapas about the portion sizes, we would have ordered less as I really hate food wastage. I would recommend 4 dishes for a party of 4, and infact, if you look at the pictures, aside from the oysters, each could be eaten individually as a main for each person. I would recommend the restaurant scale back on portion size, make things proportionately cheaper and provide a few more options. Tapas should be fun, and it would be a great way to showcase produce with things as simple as olives being able to be ordered as a tapas dish. Overall not horrible, just not what I was expecting.
