The staff were excellent in communication prior to our stay, in sorting out our late arrival and during our stay. The rooms are comfortable and clean, the bathroom has been refurbished and the water pressure was great!!! The beds were super comfortable and the room had everything we needed. The highlight was the amazing meal at the onsite restaurant!!! The best steak I’ve had in a long time!!!! A 300gm eye fillet cooked to perfection with salad that was cut and prepared fresh when we ordered, along with the mushies that went into my gravy!! Also very reasonably priced!! Only open an hour a night, it is well worth ordering from!!! And the service of the chef was 10/10!
We stayed on a stopover to Cairns from brissy. Beds were comfortable, had dinner at the on site restaurant. It was so yummy, very good size and price for the meal. Will def be back.
Right next to the main road, full of hoons til about 9pm. The motel can't do anything about that I know, but it is what it is. Clean rooms, comfy bed
The staff are nice and parking is easily accessible. The room was clean with the exception of the absolutely unacceptable condition of the air conditioner. It was physically broken, doesn't cool well, looks like it has been there for over 20 years and not once has been cleaned as per the picture. My main issue however is the noise! The walls are a little thin so you can hear your neighbours even when they're talking at a normal volume... but that's nothing compared to the street noise.nnThe hotel sits on Musgrave Street - the main drag through Rockhampton - and when I say drag, I mean it. You WILL, without fail, hear people screaming up and down in their noisy cars from light to light, as well as trucks, ALL NIGHT. I stayed there on a weeknight so I can only imagine how much worse it is on the weekends. If you're not a heavy sleeper, it will be impossible to get any sleep and for that reason I can never stay in this hotel or any other on this street again.
