Nice bar for a chilled evening, food and drinks. Went here for a super late lunch on a weekend and it was great to finally find a place in Crows Nest at 3pm with a kitchen that wasn't closed, or closing. Friendly staff, good service, tasty pub food and live music on Sunday arvos.
Well managed and vibrant place to be. Firstly, we were welcomed by Addy and he gave a detailed explanation on which drinks to start with. He made an amazing espresso martini and the food was worth the price. Loved every bite of it. Will definitely be back….
Great service. Great pub. We had a great time just hanging out. Will definitely return also very well priced.
Reserved a table 2 weeks in advance via website. Got several email updates confirming. Got there and was told they had no records of my booking although i saw nobody attempt to check and were not willing to accommodate us as they had larger parties booked in. It seems we werre bumped for better offers. Pretty poor, no apologies "must be the websites fault" Staff were pretty rude and unhelpful despite me showing evidence of the confirmed booking. Disappointing attitude, appreciate it's a busy time hence booked well in advance but will not be going back.
Amazing Sunday afternoon. Live music, great food and wine. Will definitely be back.
The crow bar has new owners. It’s the same great surrounds and atmosphere as ever but truly the service, chat with staff and the food are better than before. They are really making this place great and it deserves the customers to come along and experience it and have fun!!
The Crow Bar takes the pub food to another level. The new menu is fantastic, big kudos to their Chef. Starters, main dishes and desserts – everything is fabulous. Guaranteed you would want to come again to try other items on the menu. Enjoyable experience every time we go there. Great relaxed ambiance, good selection of wines, delicious food, cocktails to die for. The service there is always outstanding - the Crow Bar has an amazing team. The perfect place to enjoy a special night out.
Karma the bartender makes the best jalapeno margarita. Just trust me ask for a spicy margarita and this guy will make one to your palette. Outstanding!
When we arrived for our booked dinner at 7pm on a Sunday night, a band was playing in the front section, with a small group of attentive listeners. Some drinking was happening, but there didn’t seem like much eating going on. It was too loud for us, in such a confined space, as we had intended to have a quiet fam dinner. Luckily though, we were directed to the rear dining area, which was much quieter and more comfy. We were the only people there, but we were rewarded with a delicious dinner of assorted tacos and small plates, with fast, friendly and attentive service. We could still faintly hear the music wafting in from the front, but it didn’t disturb us and we were easily able to converse. In fact it provided a nice backdrop, until it ended. I guess that I should have checked the online menu, where it says that there is live music from 5-7pm every Sunday in summer. At least then I would have known what to expect. We ordered zucchini fries $14, haloumi $19, arancini balls $18, fish tacos $16, salmon crostinis $22, two side salads @ $7 each, a side of vegetables $8 and a plate of sliced baguette $5. After our 25% Ent Book discount, we ended up paying $87 for all that, which is not bad value for money. Some of the dishes that we wanted were not available, like the lamb and chicken tacos. Also, the prices on the online menu are different from what we ended up paying eg, the zucchini fries are listed at $12, we paid $14. The arancini balls are listed at $17, we paid $18, the haloumi, $16.5, we paid $19 etc. You get the picture. Time to update their website! But apart from that, the food was fresh and tasty, lovingly prepared with care and attention to detail, and nicely presented to the table on stylish crockery. Serving sizes were adequate without being huge. And the guys who work here couldn’t have been more efficient, polite and helpful. A pleasure to enjoy such good service. The decor in the rear dining area where we sat was a tad gloomy and reminded me of the set from “Phantom of the Opera”, but it was comfy enough and I liked the high bar stools. Ordering is done at the bar, with the food being brought out by the pleasant wait staff. As we were the only diners, it was all very laid back, casual and relaxed and we enjoyed the evening. The toilets were right behind us, there were separate male and female cubicles and they were clean and well stocked. There’s plenty of parking in nearby Ernest Street, with no weekend restrictions, and of course, there’s also the Woolies car park, even closer, where you can get two hours free parking. Overall, we had a pleasant time and everything ran smoothly. Food was nice enough, the service was excellent, there were ample clean toilets and easy parking nearby. Couldn’t really ask for more. Thanks to the Ent Bk, for adding this worthwhile place to their list.
CAREFUL IF YOU HAVE ALLERGIES!!! I ordered one drink but received something totally different without being told that my order was changed. When I asked the bartender he stated that he'd swapped out coconut for blueberry and when I asked why he said it was "tropical anyway because it had 4 fruits in it". I am unsure of what was put into the drink but I wasn't told my order would be changed or that it was unavailable when I ordered it. Disappointing outcome
