We stayed in the Crocodile Cabin & absolutely loved it. The room layout was brilliant, with our own private pool, overlooking the Crocodile lagoon. We were lucky enough to see 4 Crocodiles in the lagoon, including one coming right up on the lagoon bank. All the staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful. We also enjoyed breakfast & dinner at the Warrior restaurant and the ZooKeeper talk about the kangaroos & koalas. Great job team. All the best, Tim & Zoe
I could not rate this place more highly. The staff were, without exception, outstandingly friendly and helpful. I believe happy staff = an employer who treats them well, so this place ticked that important box for us. My son loved the beautiful, warm pool, and seeing all the wildlife around on site. This place manages to find the balance between welcoming kids and also being fairly quiet, which was great for us. Cabins were so so clean, thoughtful touches everywhere. It's not a cheap place to stay, but when you factor in the delicious included breakfast, the tickets to Aus Zoo, the welcoming and incredibly comfortable accommodation and ambience, this place was totally worth it for us. We were all sad to leave.
Our family were absolutely blessed to spend a couple night at the Crocodile Hunter Lodge a couple weeks ago. It was absolutely faultless and we're still living off the high from our experience!!nThe cabins are modern, squeaky clean and just have an amazing aroma about it. Lodge staff go above and beyond for you. Warrior Restaurant and Bar is also top notch for breakfast and dinner. Highly recommend to anyone considering staying here.
We were blown away by the extraordinary service and warmth of the staff! From the moment we arrived, the receptionist's bright smile and kind demeanor set the tone for an unforgettable stay. The bus drivers' expertise and enthusiasm added to the excitement, while the immaculately clean and modern rooms made us feel pampered. And the zoo? Absolutely breathtaking!nnBut what truly touched our hearts was the special attention given to our friends celebrating their honeymoon from Italy. The team's thoughtful gestures made their trip truly unforgettable, filling our hearts with joy and gratitude. We can't recommend this place enough - it's a true gem!
Staying at the lodge was the best way to visit Australia Zoo. We got the 3 nights for 2 deal from 11 to 14 December and it was fully worth it. Eliza and Kim took great care of us, as did the rest of the lovely team. The restaurant staff and drivers were so helpful and nice. The cabin was modern, clean and comfortable. We stayed in the black cockatoo cabin for 4 people, which was perfectly comfortable for our group of 3. There were all the amenities you could ask for--robes, slippers, towels, soaps, coffee, tea, water, milk, free wifi and even a welcome cake. We also got a welcome gift bag on arrival, which came with a voucher for a Robert Irwin photo canvas. We loved the setup of the cabins to the pool, roo enclosure, restaurant and reception/gift shop. It was great eating/swimming while watching the roos and emus, though a bird tried to take our food while we were distracted, which was funny. The shuttle was free and available any time between Beerwah Station, the lodge and the zoo. They basically led us by the hand to the zoo counter so we always felt well looked after. It was so convenient only 5 minutes to either, I can't imagine going to the zoo from somewhere else. Three days was the perfect amount of time to see the whole zoo, which was incredible, and we were lucky to see the Irwins on the 12th and 13th at the original croc enclosure while the main enclosure was being renovated. Free breakfast at the Warrior restaurant was a great way to start each day, and they had great choices, even the kids menu. Dining at the restaurant was a bit pricey for the portions but since the crab came from Fraser Island we cut our losses and splurged for one night and it tasted great.nI would highly recommend staying at the Crocodile Hunter Lodge if you're visiting Australia zoo. With the 3 night for 2 deal, it basically paid for itself, and the convenience and service made the whole trip so comfortable.
