almost no people when i went there at around 6pm at the weekend. easy to find, it is just on the side of the main road. you could park at the public parking lots nearby, just a few minutes walk to the containbow
Lovely piece of art! We saw it everyday driving past it in Fremantle. We stopped by it one of the days and took tons of nice pictures. Worth a visit!
This is a landmark art installation that is fun to see in Fremantle. It is located just off Canning Highway and overlooking Fremantle Port and is the work of Perth based artist Marcus Canning. Rainbow Container was installed in 2016.nnWhat you find are 9 recycled sea containers painted in the colours of a rainbow and attached to form a 9 metre tall arch, stretching 19 metres in length. You can park your vehicle in the lot down by the East St. Jetty and make the short 2-3 minute walk up to the grassy stretch alongside the road where you can see and take picture of the Rainbow Sea Container installation.
It's not worth the trip to here, is it just a few colourful containers in the middle of no where.nIf you are driving, it might be easier to reach and leave this place.nIf not, the bus journey back to the city is about 45 minutes.
