Edited comment down the bottom due to second visit. The food! Omg the food is amazing. I had a gluten free pasta dish with truffle oil here and it was sensational. Although for my boyfriend the portion was a little small he had to eat when we got home, I personally found it to be perfect. And it could just well be the best pasta I have eaten and I’ve been to Italy. Will be back with the ladies for sure Second visit: we went back there again this weekend for a late, light lunch 15/12/2019. The meals were as outstanding as before but this time twice the size. We also had a ginger beer and cucumber cocktail which was absolutely perfect. Lovely venue, amazing staff and such a beautiful view of Brisbane. Oh yes, and the food is just out of this world. See you again soon
Went there to get a refreshing drink on a hot summer day. It has amazingly beautiful views of Brisbane CBD, offering a nice breeze from Kangaroo cliff. From the park down you can take the stairs up which I usually do. They were so nice to me, giving me snacks for free to go with my drinks. Saw the cocktail list and ordered one. Apparently they are also open at night! Enjoy guys! Thanks *****
Iced latte had a bit of a flat taste and then canoli... umm.. Really wondering the flavour of traditional canoli. River view was fantastic. That was it. Although it was very hot weather, iced coffee was NOT tasty at all.
We went to the BarSpritz on New Year's Day 2019 for a lunch with my wife and we both enjoyed the experience. Beautiful views from atop Kangaroo Point looking across the Brisbane River to the city and South Bank. Even though the temperature was hot there was a fresh breeze which made the clear sunny day very enjoyable. The salmon meal was fresh and delicious and while the chicken meal was tasty, it tended to be a little dry. The coffee at BarSpritz is Italian and is very good. Will definitely return for the coffee! All in all a great lunch with a great view.
I went for a quick drink and dinner, a pasta, and was happy with the overall experience and certainly you can't bit the location. I believe this place is well suited for to have a romantic dinner and the music is well chosen for this. Wished there was a bigger and more creative menu but it might just not be possible for limits in the facilities. Will go back with the hope to get a 5 stars meal and more photos.
This place is an underrated gem! I had my Christmas party here and it was amazing!! We managed to snag some awesome fireworks photos. The cocktails were delish and the food was just as great! They even accommodated for the vegetarians in our group. Thank you so much for making our night unforgettable.
Wonderful service! Staff is very kind and let us sit in a reserved spot that wasn't ours! The food itself was delicious and came out super fast! Would recommend! 5:30-6:30PM best time to see the sunset!
Perched high at the very top of Kangaroo Point Cliffs, The Cliffs Cafe, is one of the most stunning locations for panoramic views of Brisbane CBD, looking towards the Botanical Gardens on the Northern Bank, and beyond to the mountain ranges in the distance. All the google reviews will tell you, "go for the view, don't stay for the food". Which is very accurate, and yes - the coffee is good. Opening hours are Mon - Sun from 7am - 5pm, but do be aware, the kitchen closes at 2.30pm. Only cabinet food is available from 2.30pm onwards. The venue can be hired for corporate and private events. It would be a spectacular location for a black tie corporate dinner or a wedding - just hire a very good catering company. Catering details are available on their website. The cafe structure is very simple, an open air experience, with an oversized weatherproof awning over the top to keep the elements. Take a warm jacket as you'll need the extra layers on a cold or windy day. Do check out the rocks closely as there are a few big lizards who love to sunbathe. A helpful hint, there are numerous parallel parks just down from the cafe, with a 2 hour limit. Ensure you approach the cafe from Leopold St, and not Main Street. Entering via Main St involves crossing busy River Terrace on foot, which isn't the best access point if you are with young children or the elderly. The protected cliffs are heritage listed, and made from the volcanic rock "ignimbrite". The site is home to the Nunukul Yeggera Tribe, sadly early settlers destroyed the caves in which the Indigenous people lived. The cliffs were formed after stone was quarried from the site, by convicts in the early 1800's. The original cliffs actually extended all the to the Brisbane River, instead of being set back 10-15 metres like they do today. I do suggest you don't just drive for the cafe views, use this time to check out the many cool activities this area has to offer, both on the Upper and Lower River Terrace. There are free public bbqs, lovely picnic spots, a cycle hire station, public toilets, abseiling and rock climbing, sculptures to enjoy, and wonderful walking and cycling tracks.
Best views in Brisbane especially at night. Under new owners, so it will take a while for the food to get up to the level owners want - but I am sure it will get there. Table service is great, friendly and fast. Great spot for coffee in the morning - my regular haunt, after walking the Kangaroo Point cliffs.
Nice spot for a drink and a bite in the afternoon in particular. Nice city views and they let you sit with your dog!
