Food was good pub food and service was excellent. Elizabeth was very helpful.

The service here is absolutely fantastic, the whole night, our waiter went above and beyond anything I've experienced (including in much pricier establishments). Even the service from the bar staff was excellent. Our whole party was very happy with their food, which was timely and good value (on par with similar places). 
It's very convient to access, being opposite the train station, although parking can be difficult at times.
If you're looking for a relaxing, kid friendly, casual dinner venue that doesn't compromise on quality or service around the Clayton / Clarinda area then you must try the Clayton Hotel.

The security guy has a rude vibe to the way he talked to us when we just entered the pub. He asked for ID and I showed my photocard and he didn't want to acknowledge it. I have a babyface lol what can i do about it but I showed a valid ID and It was really frustrating because he  still did not believe it and asked for a passport instead like watdahel. You dont usually bring your passport with u when u go have drinks but then I realized I have a photo of my passport in my phone which I showed and another security guy got my phone and went somewhere to have it inspected. Reaaally guys. Anyway, they accepted my ID in the end but we left because we already felt like they didnt want to accommodate us in the first place. I heard that my friends experienced a similar situation before. So yeah, bad customer service so I had to leave a negative review.
