My only poor experience from a Cheesecake Shop in over 20 years. Too lazy to follow standard procedure and remove Lemon Meringue pie from foil after baking, expecting me to have to do it. I had to contact head office to get the truth because the only reason offered to me by staff when I rang after arriving home was "Sometimes they send them to us like that", and when I asked why this was the only LMP I'd ever received like this, they replied "I can't answer that". Paragraph from Cheesecake Shop's own website states "The franchised structure of the business together with the disciplined procedures and recipes helped create a consistency of quality that has led to 'The Cheesecake Shop' brand achieving exceptionally strong consumer awareness and preference". Obviously this one store thinks "disciplined procedures" doesn't apply to them. Furthermore the meringue was applied haphazardly, failing to fully cover the pie. Been going here for last fifteen years ordering cakes to custom either like Blake forest or a tower of white mud cake something different is what I like. Few days ago now I went in with my partners daughter too order something so simple a chocolate mud cake decorated with cookies and cream decorations. Now that seems fantastic chocolate plus chocolate what person wouldn't want such a great cake on there birthday. Arrived at the agreed apon pickup date at the time should have thought why was the girl taking ten minutes to come out with a pre order checked the cake all looked good was excited grabbed another cake from the slices fridge just a simple carrot cake have it boxed too play a game on the partner little miss hands her mother the carrot cake she was happy with the carrot cake. After we had are dinner out cut slices of the cake I look at the cut slices thinking this is a very spongy cake never the less I serve her a slice she takes a bite says this is horrible it's sponge cake. Now in a world of economics a sponge cake would be okay maybe for a child not a person who likes mud cake the rich creamy texture I felt heart broken to have handed her a cake of which I thought was what I ordered no it was a sponge cake after many hrs of deliberation I decided I should contact the shop via email to have been given a response of there must have been a confusion between what you said even though I pointed and said what I wanted the girl at the register had too get another person to give the okay to my custom order. The most insulting part to come was offered a 10 dollar voucher towards ordering another cake like really I travel 2 hrs to get a cake that wasn't what I ordered then offered no apology just that it's my fault thrown at my face a business that has given great cakes over the years and now I feel I'll have to start baking my own as that was a complete failure. When I have the energy from this horrible experience I'll build up the energy to return this horrible cake that someone else may like as for me a waist of money and energy. The carrot cake was great. In the future I'll look at more local places that have there abilities and hearts in their hands.
On Saturday 18th March 2023 I purchased a French Glazed Vanilla Cheesecake for $27.95 but it had a very strong aftertaste so either Elise or I liked it. On Wednesday 26th April 2023 Hayley from Head Office emailed me and she offered to refund me as a once off goodwill gesture. On Wednesday 26th April 2023 I replied to her email with my bank details then she processed the refund of $34.95. On Friday 5th May 2023 I received the refund of $34.95.
We've ordered a number of cakes from here, often last minute and they've always been very accommodating and very tasty. I highly recommend this company and their staff who are always polite and helpful.
DO NOT ORDER CAKES HERE!!! We ordered my daughter's birthday cake in the store not over the phone last week. It was a simple spong cake with blue buttercream frosting. No decorations, no designs. Just a simple blue cake!!!. We asked for 8 inch cake with 18-20 cm in height. My husband picked up the cake the night before her birthday. When he got back home, we realised it's only 13 cm in height. We paid $85 for such a small cake!!!! The cake wasn't enough for the guests! We had no choices as the birthday was in the Morning. We are very disappointed. My daughter was so upset. We called the store and the lady just said "sorry". Worst experience ever!!!
Get our Birthday cakes there every year always good.
Purchased a Lemon Meringue Pie, absolutely disappointed and way too much sugar, crust was soggy, felt sick eating it. Threw it in the bin.
Picked up a pre-ordered cheesecake for Mother's Day. It looked like someone had fixed cracks in the cake using their finger. Very disappointed. Do not recommend.
Only place to shop for Birthday cakes, Special occasion cakes or a gorgeous carrot cake to take to a BBQ. Our favourite is the Double choc strawberry torte featured but custom cakes are available also! Recommend upgrading to a strawberry buttercream icing if you opt to customise!
We ordered the beesting torte and it was just amazing. We all loved it and the cake was not too sweet and it was just about right. The staff was very friendly at the counter which is very important for me as a customer. We have tried few other cakes from this store and all of them were amazing. Nothing to complain. I would highly recommend this branch.
