Story

At the Cat Vet in Prahran (Melbourne), all the staff have an absolute love and compassion for cats and their well being. We aim to provide optimal health care for our feline patients, providing a quiet and cat friendly environment. The Clinic is designed specifically to their unique requirements and with cat behaviour in mind (being dog-free is particularly cat friendly).

We have a modern, fully equipped Vet hospital providing for routine health care such as vaccinations, through to managing complex Referral & Specialist medical problems. Our hospital is equipped with full dental & surgical facilities as well as in-house laboratory, diagnostic ultrasound, endoscopy and radiology capabilities. The clinic consults closely with specialists in all other aspects of medicine and surgery so as to offer optimum health care recommendations for our feline patients.

Our previous excellent vet in Sydney, the Paddington Cat Hospital recommended The Cat Clinic to us and we also couldn’t recommend them more highly. We have been impressed with the expertise of the vets and vet nurses here. We always appreciated all the follow-up phone calls and emails to ensure that all is understood and going okay. They have always gone above and beyond. An added bonus is The Cat Pad next door, we always felt that Spikey was in safe hands when we went away in the knowledge that a vet was on hand should any issues arise. Many thanks for taking such amazing care of our darling Spikey over the last 4 years. And a special thank you to Dr Kathryn and Dr Richard for your compassionate care in his final days which we will never forget.
Thank you for your good service My partner took Snacks in for a check-up and yearly vaccination few weeks ago. It was done quickly and Snacks got home and happy. They were able to answer my questions and we felt she was in good care during her quick visit.
Seriously best vet we have ever been to. Dr Kathryn was so fantastic with our two boys Harvey & Beau. Especially with Beau seeing he is such a scaredy cat, I’ve never seem him so calm outside of our own home. Seriously couldn’t fault her, she’s so kind, caring and compassionate. We’ve found our vet for life!
The staff and vets are so compassionate and lovely, they all love cats and understand their quirks and treat them as individuals. My poor boy became very ill and they saved his life with emergency surgery for a obstruction, throughout the process they kept me updated on his progress, what they were doing, why and the costs. They even called in the days after to check on his condition. If you have a cat I couldn't recommend a vet more! The surgery went well and he's rapidly recovering and becoming his cheeky little self again! The Cat Clinic have him for life as we owe his to their expertise and compassion!
Had a really great experience with the Veterinarian Catherine, she was super helpful when my kitty Bones was having some liver problems, Kept calling to check in and even came in on her day off to make sure his further testing went ok, Really appreciate the level of care and love shown in helping my baby recover
I’ve been taking my boys to see Richard and Amy for approximately 14 years now and they are truly the best cat doctors out there. Highly skilled, knowledgeable and attentive vets that are kind, patient and gentle every time and excellent banter, which is an obvious plus. Also, a shout out to Georgia, one of the vet nurses, who is an absolute gem every time I ring or bring the boys in. HIGHLY recommend this practice to anyone with a feline child
