A group of six of us turned up on a Sunday without a booking and were seated promptly albeit it was pouring with rain outside, but the cafe was still packed. We thoroughly enjoyed the range of options for breakfast; big breakfast, bacon and egg roll, fresh fruit, chia seed puddings, mexican. The coffee wasn't too bad either. The only cons was that it is extremely loud in there, it's almost impossible to have a conversation without shouting which just adds to the loudness of the place. Another niggle is that a lot of the seating is shared benches and long tables, not a big fan of those, personally.
Drive down to Berry from Sydney and came across this place. Loved the decor. Food was really flavoursome. The coffee was amazing. Best dirty chai I've had. I would've taken a picture of the food but we ate everything far too quickly. Keep up the great work.
Lovely place with a country/farmhouse look and feel. Very friendly staff and good food and coffee. We had the curried fried chicken which was definitely freshly made and seasoned and the spinach and cheese souffle which was fresh and full of taste. Would definitely recommend going here if you have made a stop in or are visiting Berry
Friendly efficient staff, very kid friendly and quite spacious. Food was decent but nothing amazing. I think their breakfast menu sounds more exciting but breakfast stops at 11am so we missed out. The medium rare steak my husband ordered ended up being almost rare on the inside but well cooked on the outside. The kids cheese toasty was more like very greasy buttery sour dough sandwich and not melted cheese as expected.
Beautiful food, the loveliest people, and great ambience. Coffee is amazing, and those pancakes!! What more could you ask for?
Found this great place today. Lunch menu excellent. I had a special : Duck and Rabbit terrine. The flavours we're amazing. Washed down with a couple of 4Pines ales. Will definitely be back with friends. Awesome!!!
We stumbled on this gem by accident when visiting Berry, would happily recommend!! the menu is amazing-something for everyone, very delicious. Our 3 yr old was kept entertained with colouring and books provided by the cafe. Staff were gorgeous, very friendly! Will definately be back again next time we are in he area!!
Fantastic little place, awesome coffee, super trendy and very friendly staff!
Nice relaxed atmosphere. Staff are friendly enough. Food was good but not the best. Ordered the burrows breaky. They got the order right when I asked for no mushrooms. Not a huge fan of the coffee, but hey, that could just be me. Overall... a nice little place I’d come back to and would recommend for other to try.
I couldn’t possibly rate their food as even though there was a big ‘open’ sign infront of the door and the fact Google says they close at 4, turns out that today they ‘weren’t too busy so decided to close early’ that was at 2.30pm - to quote the not so emphatic girl that came up to us when we got in. When challenged about the fact their opening hours on Google say they close at 4 she simply turned around and left. Well, I am glad we then found The Book Shop Cafe, a small cute place round the corner which stayed open passed their 3pm closing time offering us amazing food and service. You should not rely on the fact you must have many ‘passing’ customers and learn from your neighbours, you never know how many people you can receive thanks to recommendations. Terrible attitude and service.
