Story

One of the oldest pubs in Port Adelaide, the British Hotel has been beautifully renovated consisting of two dining areas, a large upstairs function room and a cellar.

The British Hotel Port Adelaide offers great food and service. Come and enjoy a fabulous meal, while you overlook the Port River.


Happy Hour is every weekday in the British Hotel. From Monday to Thursday Happy Hour is from 5 to 6 PM. Pints of any tap beer & house wine are only $5!


Every Friday is a Happy Friday here at the British Hotel in Port Adelaide. Come and grab a Pint of James Squire beer, or a Coopers Pale Ale, a Super Dry or a Cider. There is something for everyone and only $5 for a pint or a schooner all night long! Between 5 and 8:30 PM natural or Kilpatrick oysters are only $1.50 each. Live music every Friday evening.

Good pint of Guinness and bar lady was really nice. Some parts of the bar are modern but still has an older feeling to it which I liked. Didn't eat as had different plans but menu looked good and reasonable.
Small gathering after celebrating a baptism, great space with kids play corner. Good food but a little slow between servings.
The staff were friendly and the service was very quick. The chicken schnitzel was delicious - not dry or chewy. The British gravy was a nice choice and the side of salad was very fresh; nice crispy lettuce. Chips were great too! All in all, I can't find any faults and would be happy to have lunch there again.

The staff were fantastic, very helpful and welcoming. There was almost no wait time for food either even though they were busy. Everyone's food was great, only negative, my burger bun was completely dry, no butter or sauce at all. Otherwise a good meal.
British Hotel has a lot of local artist paintings on the walls for sale. You can also see dolphins near by. The food is decent for the price and the service is good. Have been multiple times now and it is consistent.
One of the best chicken schnitzels in Adelaide. Made from real chicken breast. Perfectly crunchy chips. Fresh salad. Entire meal wasn't too filling, either. Recommended.
Such a great ambience ,nice. meal steak a bit on tough side .otherwise all.good.
