Stopped in for a coffee via our way back to Melbourne. The coffee was nice, but can’t quite pinpoint the strange taste the scone had. It seemed to have a type of ‘gas’ taste to it. Not sure if it was from a heating element when heated, but it didn’t taste normal. The cafe is set up beautifully. It’s spacious. There are two eating areas inside & there are restrooms towards the back.
Lovely place to have coffee and brunch with friends. They sat us in the back garden which was nice as it had little tables for the kids to sit at. The food was simple and delicious and I'd definitely come again next time I'm in the area.
Really nice cafe with a nice rustic feel. Staff are friendly and are happy to cater to dietary requirements if necessary. My eggs were cooked perfectly and we all really enjoyed our food. A nice spot to come for breakfast or lunch.
Beef was very chewy both in the asian beef salad and in the open steak sandwich. Would recommend the fish over beef. Lemon slice was bit too sweet for my liking. They have many different types of chai, but the one I ordered, the chai boss latte, tasted rather watered down.

Nothing to fault at this quaint, rustic and cosy cafe. The woodfire created a relaxing and inviting space on a cold Winter's day. Staff were attentive and friendly, food was delicious and great value. Definitely worth venturing off the Hume a couple of km to experience this gem.
Nice coffee. Poached eggs with avo smash - bread was soggy with butter which was not necessary. Cosy stop if travelling through town for coffee and heating
Great place to go in autumn! The backyard dining area is seated under a magnificent maple tree. Was wonderful to sit under the beauty of the autumn colours. Service here is also very attentive and friendly. Food is your standard cafe menu, however done well. No complaints

But as someone who's tired of gimmicky cafes in the city, it's almost refreshing to see a cafe just excelling at nailing basic cafe fundamentals - great food, friendly service, and clean dining space. Their Big Breakfast was super wholesome. For under $20, we got freshly grilled gourmet bacons & Scotty's sausages, roasted tomatoes, poached eggs and more! Enough to share between 2 people. It was simple and yet, delicious. Not to mention, top-tier service! Initially, "poached eggs" came out completely cooked. I'm not a fussy eater so I was just going to eat them but one of the waiting staff wish I got her name! noticed, and just immediately grabbed us 2 extra freshly poached eggs. I was touched. Our first visit to Seymour, found this place on Google search. Had a great time! Terrific lunch. Lots of vegetarian options for the food, many types of tea and coffee. Lots of young families in at the same time we were also. Beautiful setting and very nice atmosphere.Food: 4/5
