Tucked away in a rather stark and industrial part of town, this bakery and cafe is the kind of place you’d never expect to find, and that’s exactly what makes it so special. From the outside, it blends into its surroundings, but step inside and you’re welcomed by the warm aroma of freshly baked bread and a cozy, inviting atmosphere.nnAt the back of the cafe, a large glass window gives you a full view into the bakery itself, where you can watch the team hard at work crafting each loaf and pastry by hand. It adds a sense of transparency and connection that you don’t often find.nnIt was moderately busy on a weekday, which made it a perfect spot to relax, but I can imagine weekends being quite a bit livelier. All in all, it truly feels like a hidden gem worth discovering.
It is like a dream place for someone who is a big fan of bread and pastries like me!nOn entering this bakery, I was so excited and walked around to see each bread and pasries.nnI took long time to choose, I eventually ordered oomite cheese scroll, my favourite pastry, a kouign amann and a large cup of matcha latte.nThey both were comfortably flacky, and their kouign amann is not too sweet. The lemon on top was a good accent.nnI regretted that I forgot buying some bread home.nI will definetly come back to try more soon!nn※ Note : charging 10% of Sunday surcharge
I honestly did not feel incredibly impressed. The coffee is not great did not taste fresh and pastries we specifically wanted had flies all over them. Also, we ordered some rolls, which should have obviously come with some sauce as they were dry, but the sauce was $1.3!nnFor the price we paid, I don’t feel this was good value for money.
What an excellent venue with such delicious baked goods on offer. There was seriously so much to choose from we spent a lot here. The sandwiches were great. The curried eggplant sausage roll was extremely good. The Portuguese tart was tasty. The vegetarian quiche was satisfying. The brownie peanut croissant was heavenly sinful. And the staff were wonderful. It was a lovely brunch experience that everyone should come and enjoy.
Completed the sourdough master class today. Was fantastic. The team are amazing. I got there early and had lunch and coffee. Incredible The class was intimate with only 12 people at a time. The team were fantastic. No question too big or small. Sampled incredible bread post class too. Left with 6 loaves to cook at home, 1 of their beautifully crafted loaves to eat at home, flour and a tote. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a wonderful afternoon out!!
