We have a toddler who loves Thomas and trains so the whole experience was a 10 out of 10 for us.nnThe 45 minute Douglas train ride was nice. The carriage was great and the views were pretty. My toddler loved watching the train switch tracks at the station and stick his head out the window.nnThe 5 min Thomas and troublesome truck ride was fun too. The staff were very happy and friendly.nnThere were also some Thomas the tank engine themed activities that were nice.nnThank you Bellarine railway for all of your hard work.
Kids who love trains will enjoy the train ride and mini events. The Easter weekend event brings us on a short-ish 10-15min train ride to another old station that had a small shed that was made shift to have some Easter deco and your child gets a choc Easter egg and a photo opp with the bunny.nnAs another reviewer alluded to, parking is in the open grassy area behind the community building across the stationnnBuy your tickets online and early for busy periods to avoid disappointment. Our session ran out the day before.
The ride was a delightful experience! From the moment we arrived, the historic charm of the station set the tone for a fantastic journey. It was a beautiful experience. My son loved the 45-minute douglas train ride and a 5-minute thomas train ride, the view was beautiful. He enjoyed other activities like mini golf and painting.nnThe best part was that the kids were given the certificate and the poster of their choice.
Wonderful steam engine and staff that run everything and look after engine really well, very nice interior in carriages as well. Nice trip past many different sea birds and ducks as well as the bay and many relics
