We went to The Beachouse today and only did the 3 water slides… and honestly, that alone made the whole visit worth it.nnBut the standout wasn’t just the slides — it was the staff, specifically Ocea and Robbie.nnThis is our first interstate family holiday, and both our boys 3 and 6 can be pretty anxious with new things. The kind of kids who want to do it, but need that extra bit of support to actually take the step.nnOcea and Robbie were unreal.nnThey constantly checked in on the boys, hyped them up, encouraged them, and just made them feel safe without ever making it feel forced or over the top. Even the way they asked about our holiday felt genuine — like they actually cared, not just ticking a customer service box.nnBy the end, our boys were flying down the slides, absolutely loving it, and haven’t stopped talking about it since.nnThose two played a massive role in that turnaround.nnProfessional, easygoing, and just genuinely good people — exactly what you want in a place like this.nnWe’ll definitely be back.
We took 6 kids with us, it was super affordable. I highly suggest getting the 2 hour $55 card.nThe staff were absolutely lovely, so accommodating to us and our little boy with special needs. We had a blast.
This place is so good. We had my son's 10th birthday party here. The party hosts we had were incredible, with a genuine passion for entertaining the kids. Very accommodating for kids with allergies. We'll be back very soon.
We took our 2.5 year old for an afternoon of play, or so we thought. Was not aware that the train and the indoor play structure have both been removed. These were the main things for younger kids!nnNot worth the visit with small kids anymore. Too young to stay focused on minigolf, too short for bumper cars, bumper boats and waterslides, and the vast majority of games are also too big/advanced and some not even working properly. Leaves them a handful of games and the carousel if they even like it. Prices for the games also all add up fast.nnFacilities are also looking old and tired. Doesn’t feels like the bright, vibrant place it was when it opened. Could definitely benefit from a facelift.nnMight be ok for older kids that have more options, but the little ones might as well go to a play cafe or playground.
Being mindful that this review doesn't cover any of the 'water rides' I was disappointed with my time at the beach house Glenelg. The place seems very run down in its appearance.nnWe arrived and saw signs advertising a train and castle experience, something both my little ones are very interested in, it wasn't until we were getting credits that we were told they don't operate anymore. By including these rides in package deals they make the deal seem better then it actually is.nnThe Carousel was standard, bumper cars were decent but there was a party group on with us and staff wouldn't intervene when they were getting silly. Mini golf was a huge let down, most holes were straight shots just filling in space rather then having any real difficulty or at least mechanic to do. It was also observed that several of the wooden elements had exposed nail heads or loose bits of timber for parts of holes.nnIt's sad to see that there seems to be a push towards having more and more arcade games, something that young kids don't need more of. What is safer is that many of the games simply.dont.work but still take the credits. I had to go to the counter 3 times to refund a game that had taken credits but not let us play. 2 of the games the staff member had said other people had had similar issues, yet no out of order sign was applied. This might have been because there was already several games switched off at the power.nnThe beach house was hosting a private function and in its set up had extension leads hanging from the ceiling but no safety measures to ensure the young children still roaming around didn't go play with them. There also was no announcement that the beach house was closing soon instead we found out when getting the 3rd game refunded.nnI've now been to the Beach House but would not return anytime soon.
