Nice stay overall. Rooms are small but well designed. There are multiple bathrooms on the floor at least the first floor where I was. There was a sink in the room so that was nice for grrrinv ready in the AM.nnWalls are a little thin so heard a lot which was fine at 7 and less fine at midnight. Birds woke me up chirping everyday at 5:30 but that’s no one’s fault!nnFront staff was helpful with checkin and friendly as I came in and out of the building. I’d stay again as a solo traveler!
Initially unsure re about shared bathroom but no problem - absolutely immaculate and plenty of them. Never had to wait once.nRoom compact but immaculate.nPerfect location - walking distance to lots of cafés, bars, good take away food for breakfast and right through.nAlso walking distance to Bondi Beach
I’ve stayed a couple of time with the group and for the price I can’t fault it. The property was well maintained and the front of house staff were super friendly…..and made me feel like a local. The property is a 10 minute walk to Bondi junction and about a 15 minute walk down to the beach so well placed and quiet.
The receptionist, Victoria, is the best. She is welcoming, kind, accommodating, and extremely helpful. She was always available and happy to help in any way that she could. She thought through an itinerary for my time in Sydney and recommended other cities to visit in Australia. Victoria made a huge difference during my stay - the Baxley is very lucky to have her as part of their team. I also met the manager, Kate, who was very nice and accommodating.nnThe hotel has a nice aesthetic and is very clean. The location is good, as it is only a 20 minute walk from Bondi beach.nnHowever, the rooms are very small, and for the price, I would like for there to be daily housekeeping such as the bed being made every day rather than the trash being taken out and the towels changed every other day.
The location is great with easy bus stop access to Bondi Junction, and great restaurants close by. For the price the rooms are a bit small and do not gets serviced but the bathrooms were always spotlessly clean and we never had to queue for them. Only on one occasion was there no body wash in the shower. I did find the beds way too soft, and the pillows offer no support so if you’re a bad sleeper who suffers back and neck pain like me I would not recommend. But my boyfriend who can sleep anywhere had no issues!
