What am amazing restaurant. Designed and decorated in a relaxed setting it is the perfect setting for great night out. The whole experience is made easy for any size group with their contactless ordering system. Multiple people can all order at once and pay separately straight from your table. Such an awesome night. We will be back!
Great place to hang out for a casual dinner. Tuesday special tonight was half price burger which was delicious. Good sized meals and selection of beers. There’s also entertainment for the kids. Parking is on the same level as Event Cinemas.
Great location, price a little higher than I would have thought but food was good. Great environment for a chill out. Did not like the 10% surcharge for just being Sunday!
I would have given the food 0 stars, but the wings were OK. But I also ordered veggie nachos. I don't know what it is with Newie eateries recently, but there seems to be a trend of just sending out random stuff instead of telling the customer that you are missing ingredients. The nachos said they came with veggie chili, instead it was just canned black beans. Literally cold black beans from a can. Why not just admit you are out of the dish?! The menu said they came with charred corn, again, cold corn kernels from a can. There was coriander... Three leaves total. The chips were cold and soggy -- because of the liquid from the canned ingredients. The habaneros and onion were totally flavourless from sitting in Bain Marie water until bland. The whole thing had literally no flavour or seasoning of any kind. The chips and canned ingredients were clearly unsalted. Not enough 'salsa' to make up for it. Just a complete fail. Again, why not just admit that you can't make it and offer the customer something else?! I regret not sending this back and demanding a refund, but I felt I had already eaten too much and felt awkward sending it back at that point. But I should have, the kitchen was absolutely taking the piss. PS. Photo taken after offering some to everyone at the table... Vegetarian options: Sub par. Try better.
1st time returning since the re opening after Covid. Previously such a great experience however this time was left underwhelmed. Great atmosphere for all ages and family friendly and didn't even mind having to use QR to order, however what on earth is a "venue surcharge" of 6.5%? You have staff available to take orders but hit customers with an unsuspected surcharge? Wings and pickles and beer was great but our pork belly was very underwhelming, the crackling was just cooked and chewy not crispy and the mashed potato tasted like it was from a packet. Not one waitstaff member asked how our meals were etc just dropped the food to the table and took plates away, would be great to see bit more interaction from staff.
The food is always good, Kids love the games but what made me write this review is the staff. Today, they were playing Triple J for the hottest 100 and a NOT family friendly song came on, in the first few seconds there was so much swearing... But the staff reacted promptly and lowered the music as fast as they could without anyone having to say anything. I was really impressed to be honest. As a parent, I am always quite conscious about these things but never expected restaurant staff to also be this attentive to their family customers. Well done Beerhaus!
When I arrived I asked for a beer and a wine. The lady said sorry for the wait I was just watching our trainee to see if he was doing the right thing. She serves the drinks and said that will be $33. I paid without thinking. Then when the drinks were served I asked for the price list. It was $10.50 for the beer and $21 for a very standard glass of wine. When I questioned this she said “I believe they push the prices of the wine right up so that people look to purchase beer instead”. Frustrated, I ordered our dinner. I ordered the beef nachos and when they arrived I was absolutely disappointed!! It was a huge bowl of chips with the smallest amount of what appeared to be beef and a huge blob of sour cream on the top. Dry, disproportionate, and expensive I was again extremely dissatisfied!! I will not be going back that’s for sure!!!
Where do you start...... Service here is non existent. Why not require your patrons to order at the bar. Instead they give you a QR to order online, then charge you a $5 service fee....WHAT SERVICE. The beer selection is good, but many pubs now have similar great selections. The food is overpriced and one of our meals came out cold. $80+ for lunch x2 beers, x2 burgers and chips. Not a place I'd be rushing back to.
Beerhaus in Kotara is quite big venue located on Westfield Shopping Center rooftop with good music, chill atmosphere, vast selection of german beers, reasonable pricing and well balanced menu. Chefs are doing great job as food taste very good and staff is promptly taking care of customers. Business is just next to parking area, literally next to rooftop entrance. This would be perfect venue large groups, casual meetings or staff parties.
The food was ok, the beer selection was good if not a little pricey. The main issue I have are the sneaky surcharges. In fine print at the bottom of the menu it states that a variety of surcharges apply. When we went on a Wednesday night they applied a 5% service charge to everything. This is dishonest and shouldn't be encouraged hence my bad review. Just be honest about your prices. I don't think I'll be back.
