Reviews
As many of the recent reviews pointed out, the style and quality of the meals have changed with the new management. I ordered Vienna snitzel and ribs via home delivery, both were bland. With the snitzel, they have different breading that wasn't seasoned well. Meat was dry. Ribs were also dried out and not good eating. The flavours aren't really "Austrian" anymore, it's just standard snitzel and ribs. For this kind of feed, you can get a much more upmarket experience and better quality at a pub bistro. Sadly this meal was on a completely different level lower level compared to a pub.
Chanced upon this place, and was pleasantly surprised at the quality and flavour of food. Servers were busy and short handed but always friendly. Food took about 10 minutes and the small/lady portions were more than filling. Signing up as a free member gave us 1 for 1 meals for Monday's. Will definitely go back for more!
Whilst the service was quite good, the value for money just isn't there. The schnitzel was very thin and dry, the drinks were flat, and the the camembert appetizer seemed like it was undercooked. My partner and I paid twice as much as we normally would with less than half the deliciousness.
Absolutely disgraceful and disgusting!!! I have wanted to go to this restaurant for at least 5 years. Was very much looking forward to it and after convincing the family to go I had some expectations. They windows were extremely filthy inside and out but I didn't let that deter us. The booths had grease all over them, the table's and walls were putrid and each toilet in each cubicle either had wee or poo in the toilets or there was toilet paper missing. Now the meals...the nachos could've been made better by my 3 year old, I was advised that you can't order at without jalapenos, the pasta was standard, the pork knuckle was extremely tasteless, the mashed potato wasn't mashed and when i wanted to try beer on tap I was advised that beers on tap weren't working, so I ordered bottled beer. To then be told 5 minutes later they don't have that either. Extremely, extremely disappointing. Wasn't even asked how our meal was!!! I was going to be brutally honest which i don't normally do but didn't even get that chance! Do not go to this restaurant, you will be extremely disappointed. Not one to normally write a review but I'm trying to save everyone the the same experience as us. Waste of money, all walked out hungry to get some more than satisfying plastic maccas on the way home! Only left 1 star as a rating as it would not allow me to rate 0 stars for the pathetic service and food
Venue has character, friendly staff, great food and a good selection of beer on tap.
Delicious Food, great size meals, everything was so yum. We had 5 adults and 3 kids, the staff were lovely, gave the kids colouring in, got their meals out first. I am anaphylactic to Egg and Chicken and the chef came and spoke to me, was very understanding and helpful. My meal was perfect and I felt very safe. Thank you for a great experience. Will definitely be back.
All I wanted to do was enjoy a large beer the bloke who severed was an Absolute champ and put three great northen in a big glass because they were out of tap beer
Very delicious schnitzel! Big size and very filling. Service is quick and free and a good selection of beers
The roasted vegetable and tofu stack was delicious and so was the Long Island iced tea.
I came here for dinner with my brother and both ordered the pork knuckle. I should have been concerned when it arrived about 2 mins after ordering. My knife could not even cut through the crackling it was so rubbery. When I finally managed to saw my way through, the meat was red but tough at the same time. I could barely manage to chew it. When asked how my meal was by the friendly wait staff I replied, 'quite bad really as I could not cut it, chew it or eat it'. They told me I should have come at the start of the week when the meal was cooked. It is now Sunday. I cannot believe that a restaurant owner can tell their staff to cook food at the start of the week and microwave it a week later, AND charge $35 for it. I was seething on the drive home so had to drive back to articulate the problem with the above. I wish the owner had been there instead of forcing their staff into an embarrassing situation. $35 on dinner and now I have to make some toast as I am still hungry.
