Story

The Auburn Hotel, formally the Geebung Polo Club, combines the old world charm of the late 1800’s with friendly, attentive service and a product offering of uncompromising quality.

The heritage-style building and ornate Victorian decor create an inviting environment of comfort and style, whilst its contemporary menus and extensive beverage selection provide a degree of choice to gratify even the most discerning tastes.

Boasting spacious lounge areas, tastefully appointed function rooms, a huge undercover outdoor courtyard and newly renovated dining room, this multi-award winning venue is open seven days a week for dining, drinks and entertainment.

The Auburn Hotel has gained a reputation for throwing a great party and we love hosting events for Melbourne Food and Wine, Good Beer Week and Oktoberfest.

Great spot to go on a Sunday, very family friendly plenty of space although can get busy. The petting zoo for the kids and playground were a hit. Food is great but can be more on the expensive side. Kid-friendliness: Petting Zoo and a playground, couldn't ask for much more really.
My sister and I had one of the best nights out with our kids, in a long time. Bubbly atmosphere, great food, excellent service, and a playground for kids! We usually have to go to suburban pubs with average food and atmosphere for that. We'll definitely be back.Food: 5/5
We had an excellent Sunday roast and delicious sticky date pudding and chocolate fondue. Great vibes, beautifully renovated pub and great service. Will be back again for sure.Food: 5/5
Very happening local meet up gastro pub. Staff was attentive and well spoken, just a bit busy and overloaded. Food was great and very well presented. My kids loved all the food and the vibe. Will return for sure!Food: 5/5
Staff are fantastic, atmosphere lots of laughs good music, review based purely on food quality considering prices. I was not a fan of the side salad, very dry and mostly made up of just cos lettuce. Fish was decent, oysters mediocre would have enjoyed kilpatrick option. Caesar salad, no anchovies Kids meal for my 8yr old I switched out the salad for broccoli and mash, was decent. However I found out they allow outside food for children as long as it’s disposable. Espresso martini was mostly foam… Photos with captions and prices below.
Went there on Monday for $20 mains deal. Waited for quiet a long time for order to come. Love the surroundings though and the parma is very good and big. Will come back againFood: 5/5
Have not been to this venue in many years, very impressed with the new fit out and renovations, as well as the new name. The venue was very busy for Easter Sunday lunch, children everywhere enjoying themselves in the beer garden with a little animal farm set up as well as the Easter Bunny was visiting. Inside was warm and comfy, sitting in front of the open fire. Bar and wait staff friendly and professional. Good choices of beverages and the menu offerings were outstanding. Lunch was enjoyable, visually appealing, good portion sizes, and delicious. Steaks cooked to perfection, calamari melted in your mouth, and the crackling with the pork belly was a work of art as well as super crunchy. Had a great time here, well worth the visit.
Went to watch the footy on a busy Saturday night. The Auburn staff were great helping my daughter and I find a good vantage point amongst family gatherings, birthday parties and big blokes who just wont sit down :p. Had a prawn pizza to share and cold beers and cocktails. Thanks Auburn for turning it all on for a winters afternoon.Food: 5/5
The new fit out is great, opened the beer garden up and introduced a great new dining space and pizza oven. The new pizza menu is surprisingly good. Will be back to try moreFood: 5/5
Spectacular gastropub food, great setting. Make sure to book a table on a Friday or Saturday night though, as it’s usually fully booked out with no space for walk ins. Easy QR code ordering if you wish, otherwise can order at the bar too. Fantastic service too! Their special dessert, the Baked Alaska, was literally Michelin level worthy.
