Just spent the weekend here with my husband and had a wonderful time.nnThe room was extremely clean and tidy with a lovely balcony overlooking the ocean and the bowling green. The bed was very comfortable and the spa bathroom was large and clean.nnI loved the shampoo, conditioner etc, as they all had a lovely citrus smell and felt lovely to use.nnWe had dinner in the cafe and the meals were delicious. They even did a special meal for my sister-in-law as she is on a special diet, with no problems.nnThe staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble.nnA big thank you to them for a lovely weekend. And thank you also for the yummy complimentary wine and nibbles.nnCan totally recommend a stay here!!nnKathryn and John ProctornRoom 27nWe put our key on the bench in the office - suggested by the lovely cleaner
Lovely old hotel right on the beachfront, room was old but lovely and warm with supplied heater, upgraded bathroom facilities in room, bed was a little firmer than I'm used to! Enjoyable stay non the less.
Heritage listed foreshore Hotel in Victor Harbor. We stayed in an upstairs room with a balcony overlooking the water. Lovely views.nOlder style furniture and rooms. Antiques throughout the Hotel. Hot water took a while, but was good when it happened.nBeware: no lift, but Henry from Reception took our suitcases up the steep stairs for us and right out to our car on departure .nOh, and the attached Cafe isn't open on Tuesdays or Wednesdays, but there are a lot of other eating options nearby.nWe were able to easily walk along the foreshore at night for dinner and the following day for the horse-drawn tram out to Granite Island. The railway station stop for the steam engine was literally around the corner, too.
Dined for 1st time yesterday, lovely location, Ocean front and heritage steam train cockle train couldn't ask for more. We had a German mixed grill from special board, 3 German sausages, sauerkraut, potato salad with a mix of mustard, absolutely delicious. The staff were efficient, friendly and made our dining experience worthwhile, we are local and definately will be back, well done guys
What an amazing stay. Authentic guest house from the early 1900s with some updates to bring it to the 21st century while maintaining that beautiful style and history from when it was built. Rooms are gorgeous, dining is great both the food and the atmosphere and the staff are as warm as the enormous fireplace in the bistro.nnThank you so much to everyone for making my stay a 10/10 experience, can't wait to be back enjoying the local beers and Ray's great meals.
