Small local cafe with great coffee, and excellent food options. We reserved a table for a party of five, The staff are very friendly and courteous. Our drinks came out quite quickly, and the coffee was excellent. Food did take some time to arrive, however, the staff advised us that they were undermanned for the day, and gave us complimentary drinks for the hassle. I would definitely go back :D A big thank you to the team, for getting through a busy day;
Thank you to the very friendly staff for fitting us in this morning.. When a business is this good you can under stand the many customers they have..it is advised to make a reservation..but they squeeze us in late notice..meal was not just good it was everything our taste buds wanted and more..we are coffee people and this was way up in temperature, taste, size,and appearance..the Anchor cafe is a standard that all other establishments need to come up to..see pics..at the time of visit they where renovating and this is the reason loss of 1star..when finished easy 5 star and looking forward to our return again..thank you guys for the morning smiles and great service.. see you there!!
Amazing customer service! I can’t thank these lovely ladies enough. Made me feel very welcome and helped me along my bicycle adventure! Delicious lunch too!!
Amazing place, we are so glad we found it while out and about on our travels. The food was delicious we smahed it down before we remembered to take a photo. The staff were super friendly and helpful. It's not only dog friendly but they also have a dog menu which our Tango enjoyed. He loved his puppacino and chicken pop and the pats and treats he got from the staff. Couldn't recommend this place enough. Thank you!
A great place to grab takeaway. We've been coming here since the Glass Dome days, but have only ever sat down and dined in a few time since they're usually pretty busy. There can be a bit of wait for orders to come through then it's a full house though. The staff are mostly friendly. Parking: Street parking is pretty good, though you'll be lucky to find a spot right outside.
My friend Amelia already left a review but I just wanted to say how poor our experience has been with this place. As someone who has worked in hospitality and customer service roles my entire life it’s clear that the owner of this place has very little to no idea on how to run a business. They need to sit down and really have a think on what good service looks like and re-train staff. Everything from ordering food to leaving was difficult and disorganised. The food was not well done which is incredibly disappointing and after reading some of these reviews it’s clear the manager likes to make excuses saying “it’s a new worker” or “it’s your fault”. I can guarantee I will not ever come back here.
Great coffee and breakfast. Even our cavoodle got a treat.
First time coming here since moving to the area. Came in for some brunch this morning and sat outside as we didn’t realise there was another section of the cafe inside. It was cold outside so we decided to move inside. My husband told someone behind the counter that we were moving inside and they said that was no problems. Our coffees came out to our new table without any issues. Then another girl brought over our meals and in the loudest possible voice she belted out, “That’s fine that you moved tables but next time just make sure that you let us know first”. So embarrassing as a table across from us was staring at us while she humiliated us for no reason. Appalling and ignorant customer service. We’re not children, you don’t need to speak down to us like that as if we don’t understand. How did the coffees make their way to our new table without any problems? About 10 minutes later we overheard the same girl dropping off some pancakes to the table behind us. She must of had some maple sauce and said to the people in the same loud voice, “Do you want the maple sauce? YES OR NO?”. Just an awful attitude and assertive way to speak to paying customers. It made us feel so uncomfortable and destroys any kind of relaxing vibe. There is a clear line between being a bit extroverted and just downright assertive and ignorant. I’m unsure if this girl is the owner of this cafe, however if not, she is definitely ruining the reputation and atmosphere. This cafe is very quirky and also offers some beautiful gifts and items that you can purchase in store. Such a gem of a find! But do you really think we would want to come back and spend our time and money there if we are treated like that?
Our lunch was bang-on! Delicious cappuccinos to start. Super fresh smashed Avo & Fetta on toast for me, & the yummiest corn fritters for my better half. Can't wait to return.Food: 4/5
If I could rate this place below zero, I would. Charging $30 for a cup of coffee and breakfast that was absolutely disgusting. Overcooked dry scrambled eggs,dry overcooked hash brown, chopped half of choritzo to save cost, oily spinach, dry tasteless cold bacon, all this and I had to wait 40 minutes. Every table is marked reserved, the waitress decides if you can sit or not, all depending on your order.. This is budgewoi, not double bay.
