Absolutely AMAZING gluten free pies! Did a 30 minute detour to get to this place driving back to Sydney and it was so worth it. Had the Pepper and it was outstanding. Fresh, warm, flavorful - so good I almost doubted it was gf for a minute. Can’t recommend enough!
Very impressed with the gluten free beef pies. I haven't found a better gf pie yet. Athough get there earlier in the day to guarantee availability. They stay open and fully functioning right up until closing time unlike alot of bakeries and take-aways.
Prob best Shepard's pie I've had to date. Perfect mash, great gravy and good steak. The pastry is amazing.
Great pies and sausage roll. By far the best in town.
Pies have nice enough flavour but the pastry is so soggy underneath making it incredibly hard to eat. Also stuck to the foil dish
Have not been there in over 20 years until last week and the new owners have kept the same quality great pies maybe the best pies around and I consider myself a pie connoisseur.
Arrived on a Sunday afternoon not a lot of pies to choose from but had a plain steak was good. Pastry was flaky and generous amount of meat.
Delicious hot, fresh pies of various flavours. Great place for a quick breaky, on the way home from a beautiful trip in the area. Just tasty & delicious. The view from the car park outside the shop.
10 to 15 years ago it was good, now wouldn't waste your time. Staff seem like they don't want to be there , pies have minimal fillings and is more gravy and corn flour filler than meat. Don't know if it's changed hands in past 10 or so years but if it has that explains it. Pies are Luke warm and sausage rolls seem to be left overs from previous day's trade.
I had a gluten-free caramel slice and it was delicious, but don’t let it melt. Other people in my family had the honey chilli chicken pies and they said it’s worth the drive from Sydney just for the pie. I wish they do gluten-free pies. ————————— Update Nov 2021 Gluten-free Pies!!!!! Yes the impossible actually probably not as this pies shop is the best had happened - there are gluten-free pies. I ordered chunky steak, but ended up with lamb, which is probably equally great. I used to have the horrible frozen Woolworths ones no offence. This is the first proper pie I had in three years. I’ll rename this shop as th “too addictive pie shop” if not Royal. - reviewed by a kid who was ordered to be on GF diet.
