The Acres Club is a good place for families, there's a secured area for kids to play in, and they have an amazing outside area to enjoy your food and drink, and a very friendly team to help you in any way they can.
Located at 1 Moondo Street, Greenacre, New South Wales, Australia nThis is a wonderful little club that’s great to bring the family to. There’s a delicious selection of meals to choose from at the Bistro. I had the Creamy Garlic Prawns and rice and I couldn’t fault it. The group of people I was with liked their meals also. It’s a wheelchair accessible club which was good for our group as we have people with mobility issues. The staff are so friendly and helpful. They were very welcoming also when we arrived. The is great children’s playground area and lots of space to sit outside and eat. Plenty of tables both under cover and under the sun. There’s also a mini basketball court. The cake selection is delicious, I had the lemon Meringue pie. Yummy . They have regular weekly events like Trivia Night on Thursdays. Poker Night and regular Lunch and Dinner Specials. I would definitely recommend a visit to The Acres. Thumbs Up!!!
We love coming here since Mike’s Kitchen arrived and we don’t mind spending a few dollars. But being turned away for not having a booking is crazy management, and the security here is ridiculous. I’m sure Bankstown Sports headquarters wouldn’t be happy to hear about this.nnThe club wasn’t too busy at the time. We only wanted to sit outside so the kids could play and we could enjoy a nice meal, and it was pretty empty out there — yet we were still refused.nnAnyway, we went to another one of Mike’s venues and had a great time there instead. The 5 stars are for them.nnWe will come back and try again because we’ve had so many good times here, and hopefully we don’t have this issue again. Maybe it was just an off day.
I was at this establishment for a birthday celebration and was very surprised with the one cake per booking policy .nnWe had booked a table for 30, we were celebrating three birthdays with two cakes. Upon being seated we were told sorry we only allow 'one' cake?! Sorry what?nnBeing the non confrontational people we were we said we would take it back to the car but on return we questioned how this even makes sense. The establishment would still be washing up one plate pp for two cakes even though the plates were disposable. We even asked if we could pay a cake corkage which lots of places do. If you think about it if they charge $3-$5pp on cake corkage on our table that would equal $90-$150. We were also told that this rule applies so we can purchase from the establishment instead, may I also point out their dessert/cake fridge had minimal in it and definitely not enough to serve a party of 30.nnThere is a flaw in this rule that needs to be reviewed because it just doesn’t make any sense or isn’t clear enough to customers.nnWe have been here a couple times already and It has a big menu, mostly fried and old school Pub style food. Not many fresh options apart from a bruschetta, salads, grilled fish or the side bowl of Vegetables they offer.nnIf you also choose to book a table at 2.30pm keep in mind you are told you have 15 minutes to place your order before the kitchen closes and the line is very long at that time.nnGreat outdoor area for the kids, which was one big positive.
Awesome place, great drinks and food.nLove the new basketball area, the club has balls. So much better that there is no more soccer or football, can enjoy a meal and drink without being hit by balls . Glad they are trying to make everyone comfortable.nThe staff are amazing always helpful and smiling.
