Amazing food and even better owners. My wife and I had a pre-wedding get together here in May 2022. Places were just reopening from covid and we were glad to see this jewel still in business. We talked to Doreen and Phinit a few days before it happened and Doreen painstakingly cleaned, laid out tables, and decorated the place. It looked lovely. Phinit gave us options for the food and we ended up having a whole bunch of delicious appetizers, his vegan duck, beef massaman, chicken green curry, and shrimp... to name a few. Dessert was a family recipe coconut cake that was absolutely stellar. its still in the freezer for the anniversary! The food is always excellent and so is the service... but what is best about this place is how they make you feel like family and just do everything to take care of you. Some pictures are attached, though they dont do justice! I would highly recommend stopping here for a meal, or asking them to help host your next event. The price is extremely reasonable and the quality of food for what you pay punches well above its weight.
Came here for dinner with my parents and really enjoyed it. There was a small wait for the table and the food as the place seems very short staffed but the waitress and chef were excellent. The waitress was busy looking after everyone and she was very nice. Food was very tasty. My parents hadn’t had Thai food before but they really enjoyed it!
Awesome service and great food! The atmosphere was lovely and portion sizes reasonable, and they catered to people who don't like spicy food. Our hostess was wonderfully funny and friendly, our favourite part of the entire evening! Edit: We went back a 3 or 4 months later and the hostess remembered what we wore and what we ordered last time! Amazing service Vegetarian options: All meals have vegetarian options
Our first experience at this beautiful restaurant with the most romantic and calming ambience. Our hostess Doreen was so patient and accommodating to our needs. So friendly and couldn't do enough to make our experience an enjoyable one. The food was the freshest Thai I have tasted in years. Presentation and quantity was over our expectations. It was a wonderful way to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Highly recommend this beautiful restaurant to anyone
My family and I had dinner here this evening, what a wonderful experience! Very authentic Thai food cooked by professionals and served with a smile from front of house staff. Also an amazing atmosphere with beautifully kept gardens for aesthetic pleasure. Highly recommend a visit for a business dinner, family outing or a birthday perhaps. Thank you guys
Visiting Bundaberg and sought out a Thai restaurant. We were staying walking distance from Thai Tulip and despite extremes of ratings we decided to try it for ourselves. We discovered a beautiful setting and absolutely exquisite Thai food. The owners for the past 23 years are passionate about providing the best of Thai cuisine. We greeted them with respect and friendly demeanor, and we got it back in spades. If you like Thai, you'll love the Thai Tulip experience!
Was always wondering why this restaurant struggled to have staff. Well I found out today being Christmas, went for lunch with the family. The food was good but very slow in coming to the table, which meant the kids wanted to walk around and look at the fish tanks. Sign on the tanks said not to touch which was fine the kids kept their hands off. Unfortunately kids need to stand on the bench seat to look at the fish. Well that’s where the service and hospitality of this establishment died! The owners daughter told us not to stand on the seat which was fine and we made sure they got off. Then the mother very rudely yelled at us and the kids not to stand or touch the bench. This put a very sour taste in our mouths. But fine we did not know we were having lunch in a museum. To add insult they started serving us last and seamed to be purposely slowing the food down even more. I have been in hospitality for 20 years as a chef and restaurant owner and was absolutely appalled at the pettiness of this establishment. The only saving grace was the food was ok but will not recommend this establishment to anyone. I believe it may be time to close up and move into another industry.
Most definitely the worst meal we have had in a long time, the last time we had this it was amazing but the quality has gone through the floor Tomyum soup was basically chicken stock with veg and chunks of ginger though it, the fish cakes had bones in them. The yellow curry sauce was the only part that had any flavour big chunks of steak with a few prices of potato. All in all wouldn't be going back.
Owner made us wait 15mins to not be served at all. Starts screaming at us as we told her someone just walked in and took a seat. So rude! You don’t like to serve customers then having a restaurant is not for you. By the way your food sucks! Got to us cold! Might need to get the food verifier to go see how they handle food. One day you might just come across your match and they won’t treat you nicely. Karma!!
We came for dinner one time and the lady made us stand at the counter to choose our food from the menu and made us pay in advance before giving us a table to sit down. The food was so poorly cooked. No taste. Pad thai being one of the most famous Thai dish was made so badly. Do not recommend
