One of our favourite places for going Thai. Lovely staff, authentic Thai cuisine, reasonable prices - this all makes this place a regular restaurant to come back. There’s also a huge mural of a Thai street on the wall that you could look at endlessly. Highly recommended for a nice dinner with friends or family, they are pretty flexible with payments methods and accept cards too.
great experience! Really enjoy the taste of every dish. The price is reasonable, what’s more, the food is not very spicy and salty, which is different from other Thai food I tried before. The best Thai food had so far in Sydney!
We ordered 3 dishes: Sukiyaki Glass Noodles, Pad Kee Mao and Thai on wok fried rice with pork. All of them are yummy and full of flavour. The ingredients are so fresh and tasty. My favourite is Pad kee Mao but the rice noodles are not much. Sukiyaki noodles tastes like Pad Thai but it's not hot.Food: 5/5
We got 2 noodle soups as takeout and we were really happy about them! Both had a tasty broth with a nice tangy flavour for the Tom Yum soup and were packed with vegetables & tofu. The only downside was that there was not enough broth for the big portions of noodles; so we were left with lots of noodles & vegetables but not much broth by the end. Overall, the dishes were very tasty and we would definitely re-order from this place to try the other dishes!
Dined in and t/away 15-20 times so far and food is delicious and oh! so fresh every time. Great choice of classics as well as chef's specials. Lovely staff. Bright and lively place, clean also. My only critic would be re: prices, which are slightly upper than your average Thai restaurant and therefore I wish dish sizes were a bit bigger.. Parking: Surrounded by paid street parking, unless you drive 3 blocks away from main street to find 2h free parking. Wheelchair accessibility: No steps, ground level, room to manoeuvre wheelchair inside the restaurant.
I've been coming here for a while now and the food is always great and consistent. The service is always fast and prices have always been on the cheaper side for what you get. It's usually always 3 dishes for under $50. Pay with cash to get a discount. They also do pickup and delivery.Food: 5/5
most yummy thai I have tasted in Sydney, the price is so cheap! most delicious flavourful meal $30 for chicken curry rice and 2 drinks! SO GOOD!!
the prices here are incredibly cheap i got a pad thai for $10.70 so if you care deeply about prices, this is one of the cheapest places for lunch/dinner on glebe pt rd. the food is good, although the pad thai didn't have a whole lot of sauce and could've had a vegetable or two like capsicum or some leafy green. the pad thai at tom yum tum gang is better, especially if you eat in, because they have way more sauce so there's a stronger flavour. there would probably have been more sauce on the pad thai if i had eaten in, but there's still more on the tom yum tum gang takeout. a major benefit of thai on wok is that they're open on a tuesday, when tom yum tum gang is shut. so if you're craving thai on a tuesday it's the obvious choice. the service was very good, and the food was made very quickly less than ten minutes, probably five or six. if i tried to make pad thai it would probably take an hour, so i was impressed by that. as a thai restaurant generally, it is good, but as a thai restaurant on glebe pt rd, it has stiff competition.
This deep fried fish we got takeaway was so overcooked it was like leather, the meat was completely dried out. Rang them they asked for the photo, all i got back was a thankyou! Not even an apology. I texted the manager again to ask if thats all .. no response. I feel i have no alternative but to leave a well deserved bad rating. Most previous experiences were ok, but this has soured any desire to eat from there again.
Had Pad Thai with tofu and a green curry with tofu for lunch. Both were flavourful and had a good balance of ingredients.
