I've lived in Kalamunda for over 25 years and used to love eating at Thai on the Hill. We stopped eating there over 15 years ago because the menu was tired and never changed. Last night we tried again and I'm afraid it will be at least 15 years before I try again. The Lemongrass Beef was a real disappointment, pretty dry and quite salty. Most of the beef was quite tender but some bits quite chewy. This was not a $25 takeaway meal. Han's used to do a much better job.
I never review food, but this was the worst Thai I’ve ever had. Pad Thai was just bearable, Jungle Curry was revolting. I love super hot chilli, but this was just chunks of whole chilli with loads of seeds, it was so bad I threw it out. Love trying new places but this was not worth the effort. Super pricey for what you get and half of the order was not edible. Thank god for the Coles soup in my fridge. Don’t waste your money, absolutely terrible.
These guys have clearly expired...or they just dont care. Ordered a main soup. Gave us an entree size that doesnt even exist on the menu. Baby sized. Fit for a smurf maybe, not a person. Also got the jungle curry. The "famous" dish. I love hot food but this was so shockingly bad that it was absurd. Not fit for human consumption. Just chilli & Dill. Never in my life have I not been able to eat a hot chilli dish. I LOVE hot food. But this....was not something of this world. Threw it in the bin. It was horrific. Would have appreciated it if they had of asked us if we wanted at least some rice with the jungle chilli mess, even though rice would not have saved this diaboltical disaster...as we DID decide to cook our own rice & attempt to rescue the nightmare. But no. No.... No....just take my money. Go on. Take it. Its Sunday night, who cares? And whilst on the topic of splashing cash.... it was also SUPER expensive considering the portion sizes so miniture, Tom Thumb himself would have ended the experience dead from starvation. They say they are "The best Thai Food in WA. .....Shivers. Is that statement fraud? Left angry. Obviously starving whilst writing this. Hangry? DUH. Robbed? Yes. Am I dramatic? NO. Im just honest. Someone has to be. Go to Bankok Noi in Midland for good thai. In fact, ITS THE BEST IN WA!
Was very disappointed with the service and the food having to wait 40 minites since ordering our food. To get the smallest dishes I have ever received at any restaurant was appalling to say the least. 4 adults we ordered 4 mains a large rice and an entrèe we spent $140 and left still hungry. Very disappointing
Nice food and wait staff were very pleasant. Restaurant is also byo, if you wish to take your own drinks.Food: 4/5
Spacious and great atmosphere. Good food and nice customer service provided.
On the website, and when I ordered takeaway by phone, I was told again that they were dine in prices and takeaways were cheaper. How come we were charged full price then? The Pad Thai was a lump of stodge, with no flavour. The prawn crackers were tough and chewy, definitely not cooked today. The massaman curry was good and the soup was good. The quantities were generous. For just shy of $70 for two people, we expect a good meal and to be charged the right price. We won’t be back after being over charged.
We live local and go most weekends.Food is excellent .Staff are very helpful and welcoming. One to try is the jungle curry very nice
Food was delicious however it took quite a while to come out and they were extremely small dishes.
A well presented, clean environment. The complimentary peanuts were tasty but one extremely tiny dish to share between 4 adults!! Fish cakes were lovely, but so small. Main meals were average. Overpriced.
