Went here tonight for dinner. Best Thai food we’ve had in Melbourne. The service was so lovely and it’s such a nice atmosphere for a relaxed meal. We will definitely be going back! Also it was really good to have so many gluten free options. Thank you! Dietary restrictions: Great gluten free options.
This place used to be fantastic - I don’t know if it’s changed hands, or if the owner is just trying to make more money, but it is now awful. The coconut rice tastes like plain rice, the Mussaman curry is watery, and the pad Thai is disappointingly bland. Also had the duck pancakes and you needed a microscope to find the duck I wish I’d taken a photo. The serving size for all dishes was abysmal - this is the pad Thai $19.90 which came with 3 prawns and they were tiny.
This is a longtime favourite of mine, and my favourite Thai restaurant. Their new premises are much larger with spacious seating. The menu is diverse and reasonably priced. The chicken satay is my favourite but they often forget me asking for extra satay sauce, the taste means this can be forgiven,
Have eaten here many times over many years and it has alway been fine. Ordered the rockling with curry tonight, it was disgusting, it smelt awful and was hard. So I had rice for dinner, thanks for nothing Thai Lantern besides taking my hard earned dollars.
We used to love this place but unfortunately we had a terrible experience last time we went there. There was a big insect in our rice! Disgusting and terrible experience. The manager didn’t even bother to apologise!

Thai food that's "fine" at best. We ordered a delivery of chicken green curry, a pork pad thai a rice and a roti. Green curry was okay flavour, but unusually watery. Veggies were cooked well. I'm positive the Pad Thai was prepacked and microwaved as everything was formed and a bit stodgy. Nuts were a little chewy so clearly not fresh. Very average Pad Thai in taste and texture. Roti was fine but no better than a decent store bought. $4.50 for a small container of rice that wasn't even packed in, was the icing on the cake. 15c worth of rice at best. Eating in might be a better experience but they're not promoting themselves very well through delivery. Giving them 4 stars for service and atmosphere because we weren't in the restaurant.
We had a dinner party- which was promised to have the whole place at the back area but then we got there and there are 2 extra tables for other customers. Also, Our food was given in shared plate however, we pre-ordered our food for individual preferences. Unfortunately, the restaurant did not manage our food orders correctly and I will not recommend it to a group dining.
Amazing tasting authentic Thai food. Great service, thoroughly recommend. Very impressed!! Parking: Very easy and heaps available.
Came here as a spur of the moment, food was delicious, the meals came out fast and staff are nice and attentive.
