We visited this place towards the end of September 2022. We arrived in Kiama quite late and we needed a place to have dinner and this is one of the restaurants I found that was open later than the other restaurant around the area on a Saturday night. Plus Google rated this place 4.1 out of the other restaurants around. So we opted to come here instead. The place wasn't so busy when we arrived and we were quickly seated. The entrée started off really well, we had the crying tiger and mixed entrée. Crying tiger was great! I quite enjoyed it. The mixed entrée was just ok. Unfortunately the main dish we ordered, masaman beef curry, was so watery and sweet. I was really disappointed as I quite enjoy Thai Food, but this is one of the worst I've ever had.
Great service. We came for dinner and it was a little quiet compared to other resturants. The service was quick and great! No trouble waiting or progressing with our order. The massaman curry wasn't that great - we've had better at other Thai restaurants. The pad see yew had big portions of pork which was fantastic. Like most Thai restaurants the serving size was big and will really fill you up! We were absolutely fupl by the end of dinner! What is also great about this place compared to other Thai restaurants in the area is that it has alcohol. There are different types of beers Aussie and Thai as well as wine and spirits too. Great place, I just wish the massaman curry tasted better!
Great food, fast service even for a busy Saturday night. The only small critique would be that everything is a tad too sweet. All good otherwise
They were very loaded with orders but we got our takeaway on time. Food is delicious. Got wok hei. Prawn is plentiful in pad kee mao. Massaman beef was a bit of a let down as most meat chunks were too tough. As least the potatoes were mashy.
Very good Thai food. Very nice service. Must visit
Thai @ Kiama is an amazing place with a nice vibe to it. The food was very good. Nice and tasty with a big variety of food. The bad thing is that they don't pace the food serving, they just give it all to you in one hit. Overall it was ok.Food: 4/5
Deciding to have Thai for dinner, this one seemed to have great reviews, so we ordered delivery. Despite calling twice to see where it was after 1.5 hours, all we were told is it's on its way and the driver would call. Luckily our hotel asked if we were ok as she was leaving as it had been dropped without any notice. The mixed entree and vegetable spring rolls were average and the fried rice was just meat, egg and rice. The Penang red curry was at least tasty so saved our frustration at this place. Maybe eating in is better but lack of communication for delivery and entree quality is lacking.
I had a pleasant experience. The food was warm and tasty. I expected more vegetables on my dish Pad See. I liked the atmosphere and the service. It was worth my dinner.
Excellent staff. Food is delicious. Place is very comfy and clean. Will be back again for sure.
Omg and not in a good way!! When we entered the restaurant the welcome was less than inviting. The service for the entire evening was very abrupt. Started with the mixed entree which was fine, not amazing but ok. Two mains, garlic & pepper chicken & pork in oyster sauce, both when plonked onto our table were bordering on cold. Both meals lacked any flavour and were not pleasant to eat. All meals had pictures on the menu, ours weren't even close to what we expected. Only sorry I didn't take pics of ours to give a more realistic idea. Thai food is renowned for it's wonderful spice & great flavour, we were less than impressed. Do yourself a favour, don't go here, stay home & have a sandwich, it will taste better.
