"Local family owned restaurant established since 1996. Thai Classic was the first and longest lasting Thai Restaurant in Gladstone. The owner and cook, Lai was born in North-East Thailand in a small town called Sakhon Nakhon, and her daughter's 2 who were born in Gladstone continue to help run the business. The restaurant offers both Takeaway and Dine In. Suitable for intimate dinners for 2 or large group bookings."

Left another near by restaurant to get a meal here as the smells were amazing. We weren't disappointed and had the best seafood red curry. It is optional to add lychee and this made the dish perfect. Thanks for a great dinner and left over lunch
Friday night, restaurant was almost full. Service was friendly, authentic and fast. Food tasted absolutely great. Jasmine rice was served instead of coconut rice, however this wasn't a big issue given they were under the pump and doing great. Entree soup was delicious Thank you and keep up the good work. Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian options to most dishes.
The serving of food is big for 1 person, food are not too bad tho, quick service and freshly made, so it's really enjoyable to eat specially when came hot. This joint located outside the entrance of rydges hotel, very convenient and there's take away option as well at the end of the restaurant.Recommended dishesGreen Curry, Chicken Mussaman Curry, Chicken Satay
You get what you pay for. Foods were delicious and seasoned well. Wait time was a bit long. Definitely will come back and recommend to my friends.

Standard australianized thai menu. Price is okay dishes are charged without rice. Portions are generous. I personally can’t take too much MSG. Food would be great if you like it. Tom yum is reasonably good.
Most expensive Thai I've ever had. Almost $18 for a large pad Thai, which wasn't even filled to the top. My opinion, from one Thai lover to another.... walk the extra 500 to The Thai Classic. Bigger meals, better value.
A local taxi driver recommend this place to us as the best Thai in town. After a bit of an extended wait for our food at a not particularly busy time we finally got our meals, to their credit they apologised for the wait. The serving sizes were large and we all left satisfied. Sizzling plates were delicious and generous allocation of King prawns, could have used a bit more sauce. I'd go back
Had to wait 50mins for meal, so was feeling a bit hungry. Food is always tasty there. Service may need to improve to Restaurant standard. More waiter to client conversations by checking how the clients are feeling.Food: 5/5
