The most amazing array of products for a healthy diet. Plus did you know there is always at least one naturopath working on the checkouts to help you with all the health products stocked behind the counter and they can make up a tincture to suit your needs on the spot. This place has a real village feel and I like that it is open late so you can pop in on the way to the Westgarth cinema just up the road.
The only shop I've ever been in, where the girl serving you, just stares at her phone while she scans your items and couldn't care less that you're standing in front of her. Maybe whilst she's on her phone, she could look up a training guide on customer service. Other than that, great organic supermarket with reasonably priced food. However, it's a bit of a rabbit warren and takes a few visits to learn where everything is.
My fav organic store and caters for just about any allergy you may have.has everything you could possibly want and great selection of vegan goods. The only problem here is the checkout situation and staff working the counters with this system as you can see the frustrations of customers in store and with the reviews.
A great range of produce 5/5 stars. Though overall, 3 stars lost due to staff at counter. I shop here 2x week, and the customer service is unfortunately consistent in attitude of wishing they were some place else. Only two of the guys at the counter are friendly, the rest of the staff talk amongst themselves and demonstrate a lack lustre approach in interacting with customers.
After many years of shopping at Terra Madre Northcote and being treated with rudeness and contempt, I have made the decision of not shopping here anymore. I truly don't understand the need of treating customers this way. I don't expect chats and pleasantry, but at least a smile and brief acknowledgment. Unfortunately it hasn't been a one off experience, but it's the norm. I did try due to the variety and quality of their products, but it's really not worth it.
Great collection of items. Heaps of organic and vegan groceries. Fair amount of stuff on discounts.
We travel a fair distance to do our bulk shopping here. Organic. They package their own foods so it’s a lot cheaper than other shops. Great selection of health foods and some vegan cheeses. Full organic supermarket. Although every time I am in there the counter service is terrible. You get a feeling as a customer that your not the priority. Some of the individuals that work in there have an demeanour about them that suggests they believe they’re better at life than you. I understand that some of the workers may be naturopaths and are made to work counter. I don’t like to generalise, I’m sure there’s wonderful service from some of the workers. This has just been my experience. Still worth the trip to get the shopping.
This is my absolute favourite grocery store in melbourne. Real fresh ingredients with mostly organic options at such affordable prices!! I adore this place and wish I lived closer!!!
I’ve been coming here for years and spend hundreds on groceries here every week. I’ve put up with lukewarm reception from checkout staff in the past because I do like the range and prices aren’t too bad. This morning though the young lady that served me at the checkout was extremely and unnecessarily rude and has me thinking that I may be going to an alternative place to shop in the future rather than subjecting myself to that rudeness again!! As the previous review stated, hostile checkout staff, no thanks!!
Hostile check out staffing. The products are great and the reason I have shopped there for so many years. Self check out would be so wonderful here. Sickening to have to go though the checkout at the Northcote store.
