Called in to The Punchbowl store last week to purchase an Oztent 270 awning. On arrival I was met by a highly professional and motivated team of individuals who actually cared for the the products they sell and customer satisfaction.nUnfortunately the 270 didn't fit on my ute. After a little research, including a laugh or 2 on both sides of the counter, the team ended up recommending & providing a Foxwing 180 and walls instead.nA fantastic shopping experience, well worth the drive! I can't rate these guys enough for their outstanding conduct, attitude and knowledge on all things camping nMy girlfriend and I took our boy camping last weekend up to Katoomba. It rained pretty much the whole time, but the awning stood up to all of mother natures tears nSince then, we've sourced & added a tagalong tent for additional room.nThanks again to the staff at the Punchbowl store..More fantastic memories and we'll definitely be back
Their refund policy are ridiculous. New and unopened tent, but they don't want to know you when you try asking for refund, not even store credit. Their staff will give you dirty look as if you've just committed a crime. Never shopping here again.
I was trying to get a spare part for my Coleman tent and didn’t have any luck with Coleman them selves. But Matt and his team at tent world Punchbowl Sydney went above and beyond to help. With a great success in finding the part for me. Thanks again gentlemen for all your help
Without doubt not only the worst camping shop to deal with, but quite possibly the worst shop ever. Bought a very expensive item from Tentworld. The item did not function how it was designed and was not fit for purpose. I rang the manufacturer and they could not have been more helpful. They agreed that there was a design issue and that they fully supported in me taking it back, claiming warranty and getting a refund.nnThe Company even spoke to Tentworld on my behalf to organise a refund.nnWhen I arrived at Tentworld I was greeted by the managing refusing to give me a refund - after much back and forth the manager said I can give you a store credit or replace the unit. Which I refused as there was nothing I needed and a replacement unit was not viable as it was a design issue.nnThe manager argument was that’s our policy and we don’t do refunds.nnBe very wary buying from them. If there is an issue with your product or even an issue which the manufacturer agrees there is - Tentworld will do absolutely everything possible to hold onto your money. They even made the comment we don’t now how to do refunds here.nnI got a refund in the end, only due to the manufacturer standing up for me with multiple phone calls on my behalf.nnThankfully there is still some good companies in the world, but Tentworld is not one of them.nnI implore you to shop at any other camping store. If there was a rating less than 1 star I would give it.
My partner & I had a great experience at Tentworld from the team at Prospect. I hope I remember correctly the man’s name in particular who assisted us, “Trevor”?nA really capable & helpful staff member that knew good information about the camping beds we purchased giving us confidence to buy the best one for the money we wanted to spend. Trevor even demonstrated with the display one how to best fold it over to then squash out the air with our body weight to make it an easy process to unroll, self inflate & then release both caps to push out the air. We’ve been camping a couple times now & really happy with our purchase & the information we have received at Tentworld Prospect by the helpful staff there. Thanks guys
