Great quirky little caravan park built around a rugby oval! We had a great night here staying in the small cabins using the shared showers and toilets, easy walk into town, old but perfectly good facilities. The only thing we wished the rooms had were fly screens on the windows so we had a bit of ventilation without the mossies getting in and more powerpoints for recharging devices
We just got back from a couple of days stay here. We stayed in a cabin and I don’t have a single negative thing to say. We received a warm welcome, the cabin was clean, smelt fresh and had new carpet. The bathroom facilities were older style but do exactly what they’re intended to do. The massive field in the middle of the camp was the perfect spot to watch the planned activities for kids. The surrounding area was perfect for bike rides with the kids with lots of hidden spots to explore like a bird aviary.nRaffles and activities in the evening such as bingo and a quiz night was a nice surprise. Our daughter enjoyed making s’mores on the fire! Can’t wait to come back again.
A lovely, quiet, clean place to stay. Serene Park surroundings. Clean showers/kitchens. Cabins had everything you needed, - fruidge, jug, cups etc. The mattress i had was really comfortable. It is also close to local heated swimming pool and the Town Sports centre squash courts etc.
An awesome massive camp with NZMCA discount! The facilities were excellent & kept very clean & tidy. Thanks to the owners for easy, friendly checkin.nWe will definitely recommend this camp & look forward to returning when in the Sth Island next.
Great service and awesome place with everything you need, swimming pool and skate park in same park. Super hot showers were great!
