I love this music store! I usually get piano books for my students and they have a wide range of choice. The staff is always friendly and keen to give professional and honest advices. Highly recommended!
Its been a pleasure to shop here. We always have good experiences. Today was exceptional! We were able to be served by a lady that actually plays the instrument my son plays. Her knowledge really assured me that my son got the best sax accessories within our budget. She also gave advice on how to use a neck strap we had purchased few weeks ago at the exhibition. Thank you so much! We appreciate your professionalism, friendliness and patience. You brought the experience to another level. You helped me decide what my son needs with confidence without needing more discussion with him and his teacher. I really enjoyed the experience. 5/5 stars.
At Tempest there is always a very friendly and professional service for all things musical. The staff have a very detailed knowledge of musical instruments and the associated requirements for service and repair of the instruments.
Fast friendly service. I called ahead to check if the books were in store. Parking at door and sorted for school music classes starting soon.
I visited today with my wife to see my kid's violin. We tried to seek some info including violin outfits, price, sound, quality or recomemdation, but the old male gray-hair receptionist said that none could not play the viloin for us, reluctant to explain our enquiries, and asked us to bring our kid, which was quite embarrassing us. Our impression to this shop was that they don't want to attract and promote their products. We don't go to this shop any more.
Great service, very friendly and knowlegable staff. I got an evaluation of a second hand saxophone I just bought. The young woman I talked to played the saxophone herself and could give me detailed information on the different parts, and what needed to be serviced and replaced. She gave me great advice on how to best look after the saxophone. Would highly recommend
Friendly, helpful staff. No drums in stock, but they can order in. Good selection of strings, woods and brass. Some fun ukuleles too.
I felt like I was being ripped off with their rental. The rented violin was in such poor condition. The strings were severely worn out. Even my teacher said she was disappointed after seeing the violin. Yet, they charged me $20 to remove the two thin stickers from the fingerboard.
Wonderful service from Fran, we felt really well looked after when purchasing our daughter's first viola. Grateful for the friendly, professional advice, we are happy with our purchase and would highly recommend Tempest Music to others. Our friends actually recommended this store to us - no regrets, it's excellent!
I'm very impressed with the customer service at Tempest. I considered buying online due to convenience, however, I always like to support small businesses. I requested two Satie books for piano, and they said they'd have to order them in for me. However, the worker suggested an alternative Satie book which included many more of his pieces. I bought that book, and I've been delighted with what I've found that I otherwise would have gone without. Thank you very much; once I decide on the next pieces I'd like to learn, I'll be back.
