Tempe railway station, a heritage-listed site, is situated on the Illawarra line in the Sydney suburb of Tempe, New South Wales, Australia. It is part of the Sydney Trains T4 line network. The station features four platforms but does not have elevator access.
I like tempe station. It’s quaint and has enough train movement to get you where you need to go in a reasonable amount of time. The bathrooms are well kept and the workers are always friendly. I just wish it was wheelchair accessible. It’s essentially unusable for anyone who can’t manage stairs.. and there are quite a few flights to get up there. Please consider making this station accessible.
Tempe railway station is a heritage-listed railway station located on the Illawarra line, serving the Sydney suburb of Tempe in New South Wales, Australia. It is served by Sydney Trains T4 line services. The station has 4 platforms but lacks elevators.
Tempe station always seems to be under repair with stairs and walkways under construction. At time of writing, there are no elevators, so disabled passengers don't seem to have enough options to get to platform 3 which goes back towards Sydenham and the City. Not too many stations can see the next station on the line, but Tempe can Wolli Creek. It's worth planning a trip to Tempe because the parklands and bike tracks around the Cooks River are worth visiting.
Goated station, love Tempe and watching the trains pass by and love seeing freight and heritage pass as well. Also got the old 2015 map from here! ^_^
