Its hard finding a property manager that truly cares and keeps there word, past experience has taught me so. Though Tebter has shown me since taking over our property that there is always an exception to the rule. Cindy our property manager has been the most honest, punctual and genuinely helpful property manager we could ever asl for, always there ready to take calls and aid us in any and every issue. Thank you so much Tebter and Cindy you have made our tenancy a pleasure.
We rented property through a company called Ethan Property, they've since been merged in with Tebter, before the did though, we went through 3 horrible property managers. Once Tebter took over, Cindy Roberts managed our property and since then has professionally and courteously handled all our requests, complaints and issues. She personally has done a fantastic job and restored my confidence in real estate agents. -Liam Lavery-Bennett
Tebter were the leasing agent for our property in North Melbourne. Communication was diabolical. I had to contact them every month to find out where our rent was. Financial statements had to be chased. Inspections weren't done when required. Bills weren't paid and they tried to make us liable for late fees. We have moved to another agent but they haven't given them the keys, now we need to buy more. I would rather manage my own property than let Tebter near anything I owned. If I could give no stars, I would.
Applied with Tebter two times. Both times we had 20+ attendees at the inspection. I was denied both times even though we have no credit issues, and extensive rental history. 3 weeks later, property is still available. Seems very unlikely that 20+ applicants were all unsuccessful - that is 3 weeks of rent the landlords are forgoing. Poor service on both ends. Other reviews complained of similar issues. I really do wonder what they are doing with bulk applications, filled to the brim with personal information. Hmm
When the Property we were renting through changed from Raine & Horne to Tebter Property Cockburn everything went down hill. Our property manager at the time would avoid our phone calls and always be “away from desk or at a meeting”. Neighbour Complaints and maintenance issues disregarded or merely resolved. Hugely unresponsive through email, and now with the return of our bond there has been next to no communication with the process, we are always having to follow up to get updates. We left the property over two months in an amazing condition and always our rent and bills paid on time. In return we are still waiting for our bond disposal and there was even an attempt to get more rent out of us after key handover and leaving on vacate date. I can understand bond disposals taking time to get sorted between owner and then bond administrator but two months is unacceptable and unprofessional. Better communication and organisation would have eased the situation alittle.
I've had lots of issues in the past with property managers and agencies until finding this company. My property manager, Cindy is an absolute delight. She's professional, polite and prompt and I cannot recommend her any higher.
I have an absolutely horrible time with Tebter. We moved in with Ethan Property which then merged with Tebter, since then we had 3 new property managers in the space of 1.5 years, each more incompetent than the last except for the 6 months we had cindy as our property manager. Repairs were seldom completed on time, we had a serious leak which caused mould damage, this was not repaired properly for 3 months, after sending a Notice to remedy breach of tenancy contract stating the repairs need to be done in two weeks or we go to VCAT, they were still not completed and we were told they were unable to get a plumber to see us which I find hard to believe as there are emergency plumber services to attend to your needs 24/7. After discovering a few of my personal items had been affected the mould and had to be thrown away, my partner and I decided it was time to move out. We also had the situation where the collection tray beneath the water heater in the bedroom cupboard had rusted through and the water leaked underneath the carpet and caused more mould damage. At this point we had put in multiple maintenance requests, enough for the owner to want to come and see for himself which we complied with. We were then told just to put a sponge or towel underneath it, obviously, this didn’t last and we were unable to store anything on the wardrobe floor for fear of returning mould. In our exit report, it was stated the apartment was left ‘filthy’ with spiders and cobwebs everywhere. My partner is arachnophobic so it fell to me to remove any and all spiders which I did regularly, two had moved in after we left. It was also stated there were crumbs on the kitchen bench and in front of laundry, despite us at that point already moved into our new house and not having prepared food there for over a week, the only time going back to clean the apartment. And lastly it was said there was dog hair everywhere even though we don’t own any pets, I have no idea how the inspector came to this conclusion. We admittedly forgot to replace 2 lightbulbs, put the batteries back in the smoke alarm and dust the blinds. We had issues with another one of our tenants that ended badly causing them to move out, they took a garage remote with them along with two keys attached and never returned them, since then, I have paid for a replacement remote with written proof, but we spoke to Cindy over the phone and was told she would keep the remote at the office. Since then we have been told they don’t have it and they can’t accepted the correspondence showing phone calls were made between Cindy and I, insinuating that we received the remote and have since lost it once more rather than taking responsibility for the possibility that they have lost the remote. After moving out, we were accused by the body corporate of leaving rubbish on the side of the road, after explaining that we had left some but booked it for clearance with the council, we were called liars and told to clear it, we went back to discover it was not even our rubbish! Overall, it has been an unpleasant experience and after reading other reviews, it seems the only good ones are praise for Cindy and another property manager, Janna. I would also like to point out Bianca de Geode has been one of the worst PM’s we have dealt with, making false claims and deducting money from our bond on thing that cannot be proven.
Paul is Tebter Financial director or manager, he is the worst, never response customer request, and delay payment without explanation. Cindy is property manager, doing a fantastic job, but let down from their financial situation. Let's see how long this agency can survive.
Renting my first property with Tebter. There have been a few hiccups in the process, but both Janna and Cindy have been fantastic at going above and beyond to help, even when the office is closed. Both are very patient, thorough, and accommodating. They'd both get 5 stars.
Have been renting for almost a decade and have never had a better property manager than Lydia Liu. She went out of her way to drop me a new swipe card after mine spontaneously died just hours before I was due to host 20 people at my place - she really saved me! Absolutely wonderful service and lovely people at Tebter.
