Really enjoyed the spa here. The large wooden barrels were lovely and comfortable, as was the waft of essential oils in the air and the cool breeze perfectly offsetting the temperature of the water, which we were able to set to perfection. Would have rated it 5 stars if all the staff were friendly not just the younger ones, there was no loud buzzer jarring us back to reality at the end the blue light would do and if the plants were real. Overall though, a lovely experience and highly recommended. We didn't upgrade to the Valentine's day package, and it was still great.
Service and staff were fantastic! Staff big on client safety which was great to see.nnGreat place to Relax and recharge, and very Private, love the ability to self regulate the temperature of the water. Definitely coming back soon.nnDraw backs... no hair dryer available and the buzzer was a little frightening after a lovely quiet dip...lol
Honestly, I don’t like giving a low score or negative feedback, but I wasn’t particularly impressed with the spa. The sealed room felt too small for my family of three and offered no view. Additionally, there wasn’t enough space for changing or storing clothes. At $129 per hour plus an extra charge for a towel, it’s not cheap. As other reviewers have mentioned, the water didn’t appear clean, with noticeable fragments, such as what looked like sawdust or dead skin, floating in it.nnOn a positive note, the staff were friendly, and the nearby Domain is quite attractive.
What a fantastic place! Very clean, friendly staff, private rooms, a wonderful place for us to have happened on during a big driving day. We pulled in, did a 30 minute soak, and we’re back on the road in no time. We didn’t have a reservation but they happily accommodated us. All around GREAT experience!
Fantastic spot, the mineral spas are a must if you visit Te Aroha, an hour long soak is enough to cure almost everything! Plus they have a geyser that I believe is one of if not the only geyser that produces carbonated water! Thats crazy!
