Great authentic Asian fried rice! Being here on holiday, eating their fried rice really tastes like home. Portion good enough for 2 pax sharing if not a big eater Battered Blue Cod fish was nice! Chips were unfortunately so-so, nothing to shout about, but good value at NZD4 for a whole bag. Crumbed squids tastes great though! I was 4th in the queue, waited about 10mins before my order was ready - quite fast I must say it was off peak period Do note if using Paywave or EFTPOS, there is a 3% service charge Parking: Quite many car park lots avail along the street just outside the eatery, or a short walk away
I was pleasantly surprised by this amazing one-stop shop fast food spot! Not only did they offer fish & chips, burgers, Chinese fast food, and snacks like fried chicken, spring rolls, chips, and nuggets, but also a wide range of soft drinks and ice cream - both at the counter and pre-packaged. My partner and I had a delicious dinner of fried beef noodles, seafood soup noodles, spring rolls, and fried chicken. What made this joint stand out from other Asian fast food places in Australia was that they used mostly freshly made ingredients - spring rolls, fresh veggies, meat, and seafood, and even freshly made noodles instead of packaged ones.
Friendly staff, spacious store and many options on the menu. Ordered fish and chips, chicken and corn soup, and dim sims. The fish and chips were dry and below average, the dim sims were actually the Chinese money bag wontons which were also dry and tasteless. The soup was hot and good for the cold night. The wait time was long as there were many takeaway orders. Overall okay experience for a average meal.
We ordered chicken fried rice, chips and a piece of fish -and we waited an hour for our order with other customers after us coming and getting their meals before we went up and asked them why it was taking so long, to which the staff said it wouldn't be long -twenty minutes later we got our food.... The only plus was that the food was alright, but definitely not worth waiting that long for, especially on a very quiet night. Would not recommend going there.
Waited over a hour for crumbed fish and chips. Weren't told how long it would be. Weren't the only people waiting. Totally disorganised. For me, I thought the food was poor as well. They need some competition. Photo of meal for 2 people, over $40.Food: 1/5
fish n chips with asian menu, fantastic. Very generous portions. huge rice and meat. Reasonable prize$. Amazing Check this place. End the the meal with Banana fritter
Absolute rip off, fish with next to no fish in it, 6 dim sims for $6.50 ended up being tiny wantons, witnessed other customers being over charged and having to complain. Do not waste your time or money.
The famous Te Anau dairy still remains my favorite takeaway shop when visiting Te Anau. The prices and quality of their food is excellent! Great friendly service with plenty of choice for everyone. A must visit in my opinion even if it's just for sn ice cream or fish and chips. I've uploaded pictures of their new menu and daily specials.
Ordered fish & chips for dinner and a small drink combo. Total price was $40 for take away food. A bit much for what ended up being average quality. The bigger issue was I was told it would take 30 minutes. It ended up bring over 1 hour. If I was told it would be an hour at the time of ordering I would have gone to a restaurant instead.
I hate to post negative reviews but my husband and I got terrible food poisoning and now I see that other reviewers have said the same thing. I hope they can improve their sanitation.
