14/8/22 10:50am United taxi driver holding down his horn and revving his car behind us when the road was blocked and we couldn’t move. Under took us and realised we were unable to move and sat there shouting and screaming abuse out of his window at us. Once the road was unblocked we carried on, he speeded past us sticking his finger up to us out the window and shouting more swears and insults at us. Have in mind this was all happening when HE had his own passenger in his taxi sat next to him. I dread to think what they were thinking of the whole situation. If you’re thinking about using this taxi company DONT. Unprofessional and dangerous driving all while a paying customer is in the vehicle. Putting their life and everyone else’s at risk because he is having a hissy fit while driving. Should 100% be reconsidered as a driver for the company. Disgusting behaviour. If you need a reliable pick up time, do not use this company. They will be late and will not be able to give you any reliable information as to when your taxi may arrive. If you’re flexible, that’s fine drivers are nice. But office is absolutely incapable of reliably book you in.
Great experience every time. Polite staff every time, cabs coming roughly on time, drivers are quite knowledgeable and polite and speak at least communicative English. Such a positive difference switching from PRC Streamline, whom I used to work for. Well, PRC obviously lost all the good drivers and other staff. I run my own small mainly weekend service called Poole Friendly Cabs and can only praise United's standards.
Booked a taxi last night hoping that a taxi will turn up on time this morning. Unfortunately the taxi was 22mins late, I told the driver that my daughter will be late for school, he just said "I know". I had to call them twice this morning to chase the taxi. I was told other customers have to be attended to as well. Now, what's the point of booking it in advance if you don't get it anyway plus I did not get an alert that the taxi was going to be late, I had to call them. Definitely will boycott this service. I hope the service will get better. It's not fair my daughter was late today and was marked x when I paid the right fare. It has caused distressed both myself and my daughter.
The 1st taxi driver they sent couldn’t speak English and did not say that they were booked by Hospital Transport. The replacement driver Valentin was delightful a cheerful, polite, understanding of my disabilities and I would be delighted to ride with him again. ALL drivers need to be retrained regularly in disability specific awareness, with regular reinforcement of said training - many are unaware of disability equality and awareness.
To anyone thinking of using them—it would be irresponsible of me NOT to leave a negative review of this company. My taxi's arrival time was confirmed by text. 5 minutes after it was due to arrive, I rang them to ask for an ETA, only to be told that they were still "looking for a car to dispatch". ZERO communication from their end on this—with the result that I was late for an important appointment. Why on earth would you not let a customer know you're running late? If someone's booked a taxi, isn't it a fair assumption that they have to be somewhere at a certain time? To add insult to injury, the woman on the phone falsely claimed she'd let me know the taxi would be late because of the school run I must have missed the carrier pigeon they sent. FYI, lying to your customers to smooth over your own mistake is not a good look. I would not be writing this review if they were running late and had COMMUNICATED that to me. I could forgive an honest mistake, but there is no excuse for the appalling lack of communication from their end. A company with this lack of consideration for customers' time does not deserve to trade.
We used united taxis a few times on our holiday in bournemouth. We had a hotel near to the sea front but had day trips booked to go to Poole for the quayside and Tower park water park. We had a different driver each time and they were all polite and on time. Very reasonable prices too. They were always a safe driver, we even booked one at short notice from 20 minutes away but one driver was close so picked us up within 4 minutes. One day one of our trips was cancelled but the taxi did arrive to pick us up. The taxi driver was very understanding and didn't even charge us the fee. Very good business. They even use WhatsApp to tell you when the driver has arrived and what car and reg plate it is. Wonderful modern way of taxiing. Would definitely recommend.
Just a HUGE thank you to United Taxis for their excellent service yesterday. Unfortunately I did a bit too much food shopping and realized the bag was too heavy for me to get on and off the bus with plus I use a stick. There was some disruption at Bournemouth station and no taxis in the rank. I ordered a taxi from United which arrived within 5 mins dispite operator saying they may be a delay. Thank you again for your prompt and as always courteous service. Very much appreciated THANK YOU.
Some of the taxi drivers are really friendly. I was using elbow crutches they took them and put them on back sit for me. Very friendly. I like that they send a text saying taxi on the way then another telling you driver outside with the reg number and make of car
On 16th December was expecting to be picked up at Bournemouth airport and taxi didn’t arrive. I sent an email to customer service but haven’t had a reply so that didn’t work. It was very cold and frosty and the only comment I got from the man on the phone was I had to pay before they would send the taxi on what’s app which I don’t have I was planning to pay cash. I was prepared to give my credit card but he refused and kept going on about this what app which I haven’t got. I said I would pay cash and could I make a new booking he refused and kept going on about whats app.We were very fortunate to get a ride with a different taxi. I phoned the co when we landed and got an automated message saying I had a taxi booked just to add an insult.Service: Limousines
