Had a bad experience, owner is impatient, food is below average, went here because of the reviews but below average at best.the sauce on top especially was horrible. $30 for lamb and chicken kebabs and salad.
We went there for dinner as we are Carlisle st locals, thought we would try a different place for the night. We got 2 main meals, some chips, hummus and some cauliflower. Service- the service was the worst thing about this place, the server was really rude and seemed like he didn’t want to be there, he made for a really awful first time. We know our way around hospitality as we both work in it and could tell he wasn’t new but was really over working there. We asked about the beer garden and he gave us a judgemental look and just said not anymore which was not the best way to talk to first time customers. He was looking around not giving us eye contact when we ordered and seemed uninterested. Good- the cauliflower was absolutely wonderful? Fresh and cooked well. Best part of the meal. Burger was a little soggy but overall really well cooked and good. Chips were cold on arrival and didn’t have much to them flavour wise. Hummus could have definitely had more flavour too it but was alright! Overall food and seating was good, price wise was pretty fair for the food. Service really changed the overall experience and definitely something that needs to come up in a staff meeting as it was not good enough especially coming from customers who know when there is a bad day or a new employee and always willing to give them the benefit of the doubt, it really shows when we try and be nice customers and are given rudeness back
Ordered food for delivery off the website. Got a call back to confirm a specific request, as opposed to just guessing. American Guy on the phone was very professional and polite. Food was delicious best fries in town.
Went for the first time tonight, the service was lovely and the food was really yummy. Would definitely go back and was impressed how they remembered my name after I ate and wished me a good night when I left. Customer service at its best.
Great shawarma, friendly service. Very much recommended
Nice food the place looks nice. Great customer service
Such a great and enjoyable experience eating in and always delicious and wholesome middle eastern flavours. Now doing an amazing smoked brisket roll. Just had the best french fries loaded with Shawarma! Check out photos. Adi knows how to do it all.
The gentleman in the kitchen remembered my name only after I’ve been a few times now. Personable service. Great food. Commercial price. Everything you’d want in a Top local restaurant. 100% recommend and I will be choosing Tavlin when I’m in the area.
Food is good but the service is appalling. The owner prefers to serve his friends and will give preference to them, even if they came after you and ordered 15 minutes after you.
For $17, i expected the world's best falafel pita. Instead, i got soggy bread, average falafels, and a tasteless mix of salad. I hate giving bad reviews, but if you're after a falafel pita, look elsewhere.
