My happy place. Every time we visit Kingscliff we book Taverna. It is our top restaurant to go to. The food is superb !! I love the Greek themed outdoor area. Customer service is excellent! Our last visit we had the banquet. Absolutely delicious.
10/10!! We went here on our first dinner out in Kingscliff and it was by far the best restaurant we went to during our one week stay. The service was exceptional! The manager treated his staff very well which was really nice to see. The food was SO good! I highly recommend this place.
Celebrated a mate's birthday on a weekend away here in Kingscliff. Taverna is a beautiful venue with delicious food. Had the rear corner with several adults and some young kids, suited us well and spent a perfect 25 degree sunny afternoon feasting and the service was excellent!
Had dinner at the taverna last night and the food was good and tasty. The cocktails are delicious!!! The only thing I could complain about is the portions. We were 3 people and ordered the banquet, which was good but the portions were just too small for the price. For 75$/pers we expected more food, so that was disappointing.

I honestly cannot fault any of the meals. Each dish was the perfect mix of flavours, aesthetics, and serving size. From the fried baby squid, to the Byron bay halloumi, and that generous serving of slow roasted lamb shoulder. Topped with the avgolemono pie and caramel banana tart! It was all so delicious. This Greek establishment is a must for the area to visit! Amazing staff with their generous hospitality. Will definitely be visiting again in the future
Beautiful. Perfect little lunch for an inter mate date. I am so full, and the flavours were incredible. Highly recommend this restaurant. The lamb cutlets are a must.
A culmination of fresh delicious local ingredients and a real sense of love and attention to detail, make this a must visit in the area. The tasting menu is a great option for a late lunch especially if you're feeling hungry. The portions are extremely generous, with the lamb shoulder and halloumi being particular stand outs. Drinks menu is wide and provides great variety of classics as well as showcasing the surrounding regions. Perfect for a casual lunch or a celebration alike.
Beautiful night out with my partner. Thank you for the wonderful chef’s banquet, delicious every serve and we could taste the love and feeling coming out of that kitchen each bite. Wait staff were impeccable in timing, friendly and more than accomodating to our every need. As my future wife said “the best dining experience I’ve had ever!” Highly recommend the simplicity of halloumi cheese and honey, followed by our lamb shank cooked to perfection. I’ve never had halva before, but the Mediterranean tasting plate dessert added a new favourite to my taste buds. Thank you once again for an amazing night and look forward to spending more time there in the future
The customer service at this restaurant is appalling. When we arrived, the table wasn't ready so we got a drink. The drink was lovely, very food cocktails, but the bartender was rude and non-communicative. We were seated and no one spoke to us for 20 minutes. The portion sizes were good but the food was cold. We ordered the banquet. Most dishes came cold and the lamb was dry. The staff didn't know their products nor did they seem passionate about the food. The wine was very nice though, as was the decor. We dine regularly and know our food. Very disappointing. Never returning. $300 later and very sad about rhe meal.
