What a hidden gem!! I went to this restaurant for lunch recently and will certainly be returning. Its easy to repeat your favourite dishes but this time tried the Soft Shell Crab and Barramundi as a treat along with some traditional favourites and this restaurant has won me over. Do yourself a favour and visit Taste Buds Thai next time you are in Dee Why!!!
Delicious food and very quick service, good quantity with a great price, they don’t have alcohol so bring your own.

The best Thai on the Northern Beaches. Authentic Thai mamma's cooking in Dee Why! The name put us off and the Rolling Stones-esque logo seemed a bit much, but we're kicking ourselves for not coming here earlier. Traditional dishes like the entree with betel nut, larb with crispy pork and whole deep fried barramundi with delicious tangy sauces green apple is our fave, all made with the freshest herbs and quality ingredients. Presentation of food is gorgeous - better than some of the restaurants in the beach side. And even better, the prices are reasonable, starting at $9 for the delectable entrees. We especially love the betel nut and prawn - you'd be impressed to have this at an expensive restaurant in the city or as a appetiser at an exclusive function. Tastebuds Thai is family owned, with the daughter managing the Seaforth restaurant, and the mother managing and cooking at Dee Why. This is cooking with love, and the pride of Thai soul food. So if you want the real taste of Thailand, supporting a local business and real value for money, head to Tastebuds Thai.
Very boring Thai food and crispy pork is not crispy at all. Garlic, pepper stir fry tastes the same as cashew nuts stir fry. And please rost the cashew nuts to deliver something for our tastebuds. Seems all the flavour went into the name instead of the food.

Nice Thai restaurant, friendly service, and a good lunch special. Pad Thai was not all that special, but the Thai fried rice was really nice
Wonton noodles didn't come with noodles, servings are tiny, half the bowl was empty. Custard was so over cooked it might as well be scrambled eggs
Authentic flavours, great Chef's specials at reasonable prices & friendly staff with a funny sense of humour
I rate Thai by their Massaman, they nailed it.. super delicious. Their other dishes were pretty good too. I highly recommend this place
