So glad to hear they are changing owner. Current management is terrible. Everything looks stale, old and little variety. Terrible customer service and manners! Everything looked dirty and on top of that, there were 1/2 price signs for everything on store and when I come to the till rude old lady didnt apply the discount. Needless to say I left without buying anything. Hopefully it will get better when new people come in. Fridges were not even on. Produce looked putrid.
I tried this fruit barn because it is open and I felt safer to get some fruit, veggies and milk quickly rather than going in to a shopping centre. The staff were wearing their masks properly too. The main reason that I wanted to post was that I bought papaya and white nectarines that were excellent. They were juicy tasty and sweet. I’ve had white nectarines from supermarkets that were inedible. Better quality food sourced from the wholesale markets is never cheaper than a supermarket. But the chances are that at least some of the time you get better quality.
They have all the flavours of Bundaberg brewed drinks and traditional boiled sweets. Good old-fashined service too.
Friendly lady served , nice fresh produce and at good prices
Nice convenient fruit & veg shop, produce always fresh and a good selection of other groceries. The staff are very friendly. I have been a weekly customer for over 6 months now and want to support local businesses.
Astonishingly rude service from a male staff member who decided he didn't want to serve us and just started yelling instead, though somewhat balanced by the nice lady who replaced him. Also, a limited range of produce to choose from and just about everything wrapped unnecessarily in plastic, with the lady even trying to put our veggies in a plastic bag when we had a reusable bag sitting on the counter under her nose. With so many good fruit and veg shops around, I don't know why anyone would shop here.
TERRIBLE quality food and WAY OVERPRICED! - Boasting prices far more expensive than big supermarkets for 1 star quality food!? Only cheap stuff are things going out of date or already out of date!!! Poor service. Very unappealing. Probably won’t visit to buy my produce there again.
Middle age man who served me was very arrogant and had no customer service skills whatsoever! Seemed to be doing it intentionally. Didn't want to put fruit in bag either, pushed my bag out of the way, and no thank you or acknowledgement when I left. Overpriced also. I like to support small businesses but will never return to this one.
Very reasonable prices and some great specials on produce that is ready to eat now. Also some wonderful deli ranges eg. cheeses, salami, yoghurt, canned tomatoes etc.
