Been here many times. It's a no frill Taiwanese restaurant where you can get food and dessert. I mainly here for the dessert. I got their signature cold herbal jelly dessert. I enjoyed it as always. For those who might not like sweet potato in their dessert, then you might not like this. But I love herbal jelly, taro and sweet potato!
Taro Taro! Lovely place that's been here in East Vic Park for years! Recently updated with new furniture with sturdy seats and tables. They serve specialty asian desserts, snacks and bubble tea! Savoury - We love the fried chicken bites with rice and braised pork rice. Dessert - They are all good but we love the Mango sensation with mango pudding, mango ice cream and mango shaved ice! Bubble Tea - all the usual goodies with fruit tea, milk tea, and a large selection of toppings!
I really liked Taro Taro when it first started and I stayed around the corner, but it has really gone downhill. The hot food quality has significantly dropped from it's Taiwanese roots and it is now just plain no more gravy with rice. From a price perspective, it is still very cheap! 8.9 for Fried chicken and rice... But the desserts are still ok. Very sweet though. Kid-friendliness: High Chair available.
These are the best beef noodles soup I've tried in Perth so far. They are very tasty, affordable and the portion is just enough. I've eaten there more than six times for the past year and I just can't get enough of it. It's too good to be true!
One of the long-standing favourites in the area. The desserts are not too sweet which I like, and fried foods are on point. Great for an afternoon snack and after-dinner dessert.
I ordered the soy pudding dish with taro balls and sago. I also ordered the original milktea. *Price: was reasonable about $7 and the portion was good for the dish. The milktea was a similar price to any other stores. *Taste: However, the dish tastes very bland, not sweet at all. The taro balls basically has no flavour. The milktea has no milk in it, just tea and it was too, very tasteless. *Service time: extremely quick, we got our order in about 5 mins. *Customer service: there was only one staff when i went in the morning and she looked extremely ANNOYED the whole time like she was being forced to work. There was absolutely ZERO times that she cracked a smile since the very first second we entered the store. I get that food service workers are getting paid minimum wage but basic customer service attitude shouldn't be too unreasonable to want? *Presentation: the dish despite being quite tasteless looks very colourful and instagram-worthy. The milktea looks quite boring. The store was extremely clean and there is a self-serve section for tissues. => CONCLUSION: Don't go. A few pics aren't worth-it at all. There are so many other places for Taiwanese desserts as other comments have suggested. Customer service at those other places is probably better as you can't get worse than this.
We had the signature dessert herbal jelly from this place cold. We actually surprised that the portion is generous. It was pretty good too so we enjoyed it very much. The service was good dine in and the price was great. Worth getting the dessert.
We came here for a quick snack and we weren't disappointed. Our XXL Chicken was delicious and well cooked. So many choices of flavours to choose from. Lemon pepper and cheese are my two favourite flavours. This is my favourite savoury dish on the menu. Great variety of desserts and bubble tea. The Soy bean pudding with sweet sugar sauce was so tasty and really enjoyable. Taro milk tea was full of flavour. Delicious. Even though they busy tonight the service was very quick. The staff are very friendly and efficient.
The crew were very friendly and nice. I had ordered a large portion minced pork noodles and it tastes so good and i was so satisfied with the taste and portion. And also the chicken chop is so amazing,I would definitely come visit again and grab this chicken chop again
Cozy late night /afternoon Taiwanese snack for someone just want some easy street fast food. Better value than McDonalds and KFC. Warm Soya pudding is Recommend ! Street Parking is $2/2hr in 2020.
