Awesome thermal spa that we didn't know existed. Nice private pools big enough to fit 2 - 4 people. Staff are super friendly. However at the hottest temperature it didn't quite feel warm enough for me. And the website didn't allow for same day bookings, even though they had spas available.

Absolutely love the private mineral spa pools here. So good for me, I know how beneficial it is, so I just soak it up as often as I can get to New Plymouth.  Definitely do it while your there. The water taste amazing and love it!

Went here 12/1/25 at 7pm to soak away the work day after a long week. The spa water appeared to be just warm enough but didn’t even cover my Sholder’s. I got out and asked a brunette lady if the water could be any deeper? She replied haughtily “ there’s already a thousand liters in it” I then asked if the spa is on the hottest setting and dripping with sarcasm the plump brunette replied it’s as hot as it’s going to get tonight” and went back to reading. Really rude customer service for a front of house position. She let the whole place down, which was quite pleasant, aside from her.

Friday 31/1/25 had a 90 minute relaxation massage by Tori. She was absolutely fabulous!nSunday 2/2 had a 90 minute deep tissue from Ronnie....absolutely beyond truly amazing!!nSunday, also had a 30 min foot reflexology by Doella. Must have caught her on a bad day. Not a happy person, no good vibes at all and at the end of the session reminded me quite rudely that she had someone else after me so I felt the need to rush.nHad the spa pool each day which was wonderful. Highly recommend both Tori and Ronnie.

Special mention to the drink fridge so you can take this wai/water home....and get it in bulk if you notice the difference it makes to nourishing yourself & your whanau with minerals and highly alkaline wai animals love it too. Thank you team Taranaki thermal spa and wai shop old and new. The whole team is fantastic. A beautiful team of people running a fantastic business in Taranaki. Travelers - they also have a sauna. Tired or sore people - massage. Beautiful beauties - beautification services here too. Something for everyone. Come and meet these wonderful people and nourish yourself with this beautiful wai.
